After JB checkpont near Shell station

Dear fellow riders, yesterday I went to JB to do the normal things we guys go regularly. After the shell station, I wanted to convert to RM , so I turned left. It has been almost a long time ( a year ) since I went into this corner where there are 3 money changers ( opposite the car wash shop). Previously, vehicles can go in and out using the small lane to merge with the main traffic . So after changing money, I turned left and then left again to merge with traffic. Lo and behold Mr JB TP was waiting. He said I have broken 2 laws. turning 2 lefts when there were signs there. I asked when the signs were put there? he said quite some time. I told I havent gone to that lane for a long time and didnt know about it. I previously had enter before and no problems. I also said many riders and drivers were going out but how come they never get caught.

Just beware: its RM 600. (300 for each offence) and its a trap.

the other place is when all the cars join together to use the bus lane ..

that wan is free income also ..

If they are really serious about it, they should 1) erase the white line properly rather than putting the barricade. should also take away the stop sign. 2) put 2 way entrance to the lane. . like i said, i have not used that lane for awhile now. while i believe the main road can be congested sometimes, i believe its not because vehicles coming from this lane is the cause of the jam. agree, many vehicles if they are in that area already and when they see jam, will turn the other way round. just to caution us bikers the penalty for our carelessness, not attentiveness, our so used to the road, not realising there is a change.

for me its a trap because the sign is very inconspicuous and that is why you will see very often TP standing most of the times. thats why i noticed and realised in the last few months they were there many times whereas a year of 2 they never were there

Ohhhhhhhhh. i have written almost 10 lines long and then decided to erase . basically its a lesson learnt and for us riders to spread the words around.i am now more aware of that area.

at the causeway lo, jus before going up the slope .. a lot of cars like to overtake follow the bus and lorry ..

then while at the slope there then cut in

so their TP station jus at the slope , see them liao pull them one side.. easy money

Bunny and Deus, thanks for saying. as i have said, its been awhile since i went there to change money. it was mn and i wanted to have late supper so just turned. it was a last minute decision. but the whole end story was I never came out a single cent to pay. no bribe and no fine. just legs shaking and no mood to eat after that. lesson learnt.

or another way is either you change inside the city.. or you dont turn left out, but just turn right.. but still.. want to know how the TP wont want to take your $$$

Same. I always change before going in, especially if I'm not familiar with M'sia.

 

As the saying goes, 'penny wise, pound foolish'. I won't risk saving a few dollars and then end up getting caught with such red tape.
