Helmets for big heads

Hey guys,

 

As per the topic, I have a big head. I want to get a full face(modular), with preferably good air flow as I perspire very easily.

 

My previous flip up Nolan was an XXL size. I was very much in love with the N43 Air, but with the chin bar attached it was pressing against my chin. I tried the Nolan N104 and it fits fine, but just wondering what other alternatives I can look out for.

 

Budget wise, nothing above 400 will be best but kinda open.

Found that the Scorpion helmets seems to be one side bigger than other helmets. Example I'm normally a large, but my scorpion helmet is a medium as the large is to big for me. Might be worth having a look. Saw some scorpion helmets at Hodaka Moto World. thanks

Thanks man will put Scorpion into consideration.. I went through Scorpion's line, from what I saw only the Scorpion EXO-900 Transformer Helmet as their modular helmet..

Try eBay Motors...hopefully American size would help.

Sadness.. Evolvine 3 XL is okay on the temple area but it's very tight on the cheek bone area.

Hey! I perspire easily too, I'm currently using a AGV (XL) open face but miss the feeling of a full face.

 

Got my mum to help size my head using the guide in the video below. Measured to be 24" or 61cm, which actually should fit Nolan/Shark/Shoei's XL. I think mine head is a more round shape.

Can try Regina ask if they still got Tour tech. But it's a Flip-Up, not a Full Face.

I also tried lots of helmet but very few can accomodate... Sometimes it is not the biggest will fit our head, it also has to do with the manufacturer's helmet shape. I am on XL on my nolan N43. I have to press on the foam inside the helmet to fit it more comfortably.

 

I also did the same to my HJC's Rapha10 size L. If i dont, i will get headache within 2 hours of riding! on hindsight, i should have gotten a XL.

I got it some time back in feb/mar this year for $450 for those with design. Those plain colored ones selling at $400 back then... not sure if price went up or not now?

Hi,

 

Got me a Nolan N104 sumtime last week from Chong Aik at $380. Size L Voyage Black/white. Service there was good; got to try on others as well before deciding and sales rep was patient considering i'm a difficult customer. The sad part is that mine does not have PSB cert. Probably bcoz I asked for the clip version. Only realized when I got home. But the displayed one is PSB certified tho.

 

Decided on L size as I was afraid XL wld look too big for me. I understand Nolan has two size configuration; XXS-L and XL-XXL. Had to squeeze a little but after several squeezes it fits comfortably.

Thank Amir.. thinking of other brands other then Nolan having 2 previously. Time to change 'style'..

 

The HJC RPHA Max Helmet looks good! Not sure how the fitting will be, but a little price at around 500 SGD..
