Afternoon all! AMK is raining damn heavily la. I want go Yeows Motor Change my mudguard let them spray one. So big rain cannot step out of my house lor.

 

mudguard only, why need go yeow motor?

 

Would there be a diff if i emptied the stomach but not the pipe ?

And what kinda carb setting should I change to if i empty my stomach.?

 

As in more air less oil

my 5.5rpm only 80km/hr top speed is 150-160 y so slow...=(( behind spock 40 sia..wad size shld i change to hit 190 top speed with gd pick up?my tire 110 rear btw...does tuning of carb helps?cuz my fc kinda gd..i wan more POWER!

Many size lo..depending u using 428 or 520 sized chains.

428 got alittle more choices if i not wrong, infront 14 to 16 behind 37++ to 42 also have..

 

520 infront max 14 liao.. any bigger u end up hitting something. behind i not quite.. i changed for my friend from size 40 to size 38. believe there are more.

 

Ur top speed doesnt only depend on ur rear sprocket. Anyway u can calculate it without trying. On theory if ur 6th gear RPM at 5000 u hit the speed of 80, ur speed at 10000rpm will be 160.

 

If ur speed at 5000rpm is 90 , ur speed at 10000rpm will be 180. Ur acceleration and top speed is also affected by the tyre size. a 110/70 tyre have lesser circumferance than a 120/80 , therefore ur top speed will be less if everything the same and tyre size different.

 

2teeth behind will affect abt 10 to 15km/h at top speed from my experience.

 

 

 

Haha the most basic modification on any vehicle is to improve the exhaust flow. Coz ur wasting energy by pushing ur exhaust gas out of the pipe. Once ur pipe is cleared u naturally feel more power.. but then u harm the enviroment more since they most likely remove the catalytic converter.

 

Remember to do Carburator setting after u Mod ur exhaust system.

 

 

 

I also heard stock NsR can hit 180 though.. but the max i hit was 175 on my 16/41 sprocket (428 chain)

Well from my experience, what Supara spoke of is quite accurate (quite la.) and kaii69 is right about the comment, our speedo is buay zun 1. RVF and R1 clock me @ 180km/hr when my meter is ard 197~200 km/hr (bike vibration can't be sure its zun zun at 200).

Not exactly la, its chamber, so actually not just the outflow but the backflow is important.

 

And this is when bike is stock w/o any mod, so may I say if judging from our buay zun speedo, holding the rpm @ max hp will hit 200km/hr but actual is 180km/hr la. Other than being stock, using 520 chain front sprocket is 14 rear sprocket 39, rear tire 120/80.

 

When I used 120/80 speed is 80km/hr @ 5000 rpm, 120km/hr @ 7000 rpm and RC valve open from here on. at 110/70 speed is 75km/hr @ 5000 rpm, 110 km/hr @ 7000 rpm.

Now very poor so bought a 2nd hand tire, after install then realize it is 110/60 even smaller sia, speed is 105km/hr @ 7000 rpm, very torqy i don't like, especially at 5.2k rpm where max torque, but very nice engine braking haha~

 

BTW, the buay zun speedo error is positively non-linear, which means at lower speed it is actually more accurate to real speed while at higher speed the error starts to increase. For example, while showing 70 km/hr its actually very close to 70 km/hr but at 90 km/hr usually real speed is 80 km/hr and @ 140 km/hr real speed probably somewhere between 125~130 km/hr and @ 200 km/hr real speed is 180 km/hr.

 

These figures are taken average not just from me, but also from a bunch of friends that are riding or have rode SP before. (ya la, think I got mention, from my experience la). Might not be absolute, please don't flame, just sharing what I know. Constructive debates are welcome

u got pull choke when starting up bo???

sp is an old bike..

some bikes which are not maintained well will need to pull choke..

or u haven change ur spark plug...

 

tips on kickstarting more easier.

a method

1) when ignition off.. kick start 4-5times

2) switch ignition to on, kick start again

3) if unsuccessful, repeat step 1, but maybe 2-3 times.

 

 

b method

1) when ignition off, kick start 2-3 times

2) pull choke, switch on, n kick start

3) after the bike start, wait for 4-5 seconds b4 putting back choke

 

c method which everyone does

1) pull choke

2) on n kick.

3) put back choke..

have anyone notice that 2strokers have a big bump, aka stomach, in the middle of their headers?

gotta do with the exhaust flow too. and its there becos half of the compression stroke is also exhaust stroke. the rest of the exhaust that was created after the combustion is pushed out by the fuel mixture entering the top of the piston head.

the stomach creates a lower pressure in the header compared to other portions, thus creating a suction to pull the exhaust out of the cylinder, and at the same time allow the cylinder to be filled with fuel mixture more completely.

too much suction, some of the fuel mixture will escape with the exhaust.

too little suction, some of the exhaust remains within the cylinder, together with the new fuel mixture.

by allowing excessive outflow of exhaust, the cylinder is ensured to be completely filled with new mixture at every cycle, but at the cost of some mixture escaping out.

Just need to find the right technique when starting. After 2 to 3 weeks ur bike 99% of the time can start.. 1% is ur motor spoil.

By right a stock brand new sp will giv you a top of 180-185km. SO if your top is only 150 - 160 well den is sumtin very wrong.
