hmmm... u try to ride by turning off ur tank petrol. Can help first anot? Den all the petrol drip out first. No choice wan. Den after no more drip den turn on and check lor.

Wah liau, dont make me scared leh. . .my bike never dropped before since day 1 i got it, i didnt touch anything inside, suddenly i go to my carpark, start engine and ride off, in the middle of my journey to the petrol kiosk den this problem come.

 

i din say it must be dropped then you have thing problem right?

my deduction might be somehow related i guess. the next thing is that you have a "visitor" to your bike earlier. maybe that's explains.

 

 

Can! Cuz ur carb is overflowing. And thr is still petrol inside the carb. That y still can ride for a distance. Until all the petrol is fully use up. Den in the carb will be dry. Den after the drying up, jus on back ur petrol den petrol will flow in. WIll not have the overflow prob.

 

Cuz my wan is parking have a angle. Somemore on that day, i still go and pump full tank. And all the petrol jus flow out. And somemore i off my petrol. Den suddenly on it. The petrol flow like no tomorrow. Even i take out my tank to c wat happen also can't solve. Until i ride until now petrol in the carb. den problem solve. Den on back nothing happen!

 

got such thing de meh? carb have no hole(s) lei bro. in my riding years of 3 yrs 4 mths in my SP, i never never had such thing before. your explaination is quite fresh. hahaha~

 

next, when you pump petrol and it flow out, that's becus it really overflowing and u can see that the petrol flow out from the tank and into a small little hole beside the tank. that hole is like a drainage, the waste petrol will flow onto your engine and onto your left side fairing and down to the ground.

 

i think if like what you said of your problem and solution, i would suggest you visit a realiable mechanic to check it out. 2 cents. : )

ok bro... you get this problem from your mscp or when your tank 100% tar already (empty) then you pull over to petrol station to top up?

so, when you pump petrol, did you check on your tank valve if it is in "on" or "off" or "reserve"?

when i pumped, the thing is turned to "off" and still the petrol leak like tap water like that, from my mscp i turn the ignition to "on" den i see how come my fuel meter shows "empty" i remembered yesterday night after riding i parked my bike still got at least 1/4 left, den i quickly ride to my nearest petrol kiosk, den on the way there, really no petrol and my bike stalled, i pushed slowly to the kiosk, turn off the "petrol switch" and pump. . .and theres where i see the thing leak.

 

And not forgetting, when i came to my bike, i check the valve, its oready turned to RESERVED. since when i ride with the reserve tank last night?? Dont tell me got "visitor". . . .i parked level 1 some more...haizz...

one more thing, check your tank fuel hose connecting to your carb if it's out or not. if it's out, when you pump any petrol or even plain water, everything will flow out like no tomorrow, even if your tank valve is in "on", "off" or "reserve".

if it's really out, it means you really have "visitors" visiting your bike le. time to get a alarm in this case. : )

but even if i rev my throttle when i turning off my ignition, when i start it up the next time, i wouldn't have this problem. your carb is quite unique. ; )
