What do i have to keep a look out when getting a second hand 150SP ride?: dont go alone when viewing if you are a noob, thats a sure way to get chopped... sp is 10 year old bike, so keep some cash extra after buying the bike to do servicing and replace parts... thankfully 2b bike parts are comparatively cheaper than bigger bikes....

 

What is the price around?: under 1k for those with coe ending and 2k and above for those with renewed coe.... better to get those with renewed coe, better resale value later....

 

What does COE end means?: COE= certificate of entitlement, most SP have coe that is ending soon or has been renewed for another 5-10 years...

May I ask, what's the use of steel brake hose?

 

yo bro, from what i know is that for brake hose, it expands when you press brake due to the pressure and also due to heat when you use the brakes hard, so not all your effort that you use to press the brake goes into the brake calipers to stop your vehicle. both rubber and steel braided hoses expand but the steel ones expand less so overall you get better braking. hope this is of some help!

Branded braided brake hose which has go thru QC and test will not expand and is able to withstand up to a certain PSI which will nt be exceeded when riding under normal circumstances.

awful looking in physical outlook condition.

$2K if just renewed. May even hit $3K since COE price went up.

Means the initial 10years validity for u to ride legally on the road is ending soon or has ended.

 

So is hel brake hose recommended? Hahaha.

 

Most steel braided brake hose performance is the same. Any well known or recognised is good as they have been thru QC checks. Just avoid those 'brandless' cos u never noe whether do they even go thru checkings for leaks or defects.

Cant recommended any brand cos due the pricing, colours availability, whether it has interchangeable banjo joints or not and even the design/ material used for the nuts differs from the brands.

But overall hel is good.
