Hey guys. Another new SP rider here Encountered quite a few engine stalling when bike is stationary. Not sure what's the prob, like one guy say could be rectifier, CDI or magnetic coil(I HOPE NOT). Funny thing is when i on lights and press brakes tgt, the light will dim abit. Then engine also wan die wan die like that. Then sometimes i just stalls. Quite a panicky situation esp when in middle lane after stopping or in the middle of heavy traffic. Gonna go service the bike soon tho. Took over from my cousin

I've read since year 2004 but I can't seem to find out how much a clutch housing would cost. Only know that it would allow me to file for bankruptcy. So how much is it bros??

 

got mine from a scrapyard in jurong.

asked them to repair it. he sold to me for 40 bucks untill now its working fine.

Turns out its my fuel/air mixture too lean. Hence it stalls easily. Thanks to my friend he helped me adjust the fuel screw and the idling screw and voila. stalling prob solved. Hope the guy who had the same prob can solve his

Mine currently set to around 1.7k. Havent set properly, just want to avoid stalling at traffic junctions nia. Will set properly soon. Before that, rpm was 1k-1.1k, engine dies easily. Maybe cause fuel mix also wrong.

Mine is 1.6. I power set my carb. Nvr get stuck on 5k rpm. Feel smooth and faster.

new sp rider here, need help~! please~

bought an sp month ago, was fully well until yesterday, whenever i stop my bike, the headlight will slowly fade..then the signal lights not working... then the engine just went dead.......but everything goes well if i give some blow or when the bike is running, so, whenever i stop at traffic light, got to keep blowing....motodiam said it was the battery problem,, just changed a new one today...but problem remains the same..just wana get some advise before i send to another motodiam, dont wanna get conned ... =( thanks a lot.....

 

im quite sure, it is your rectifier. happened to me before this. heh changed batt. prob stil there. turns out rectifier spoil. anw, just to share, get it fixed asap! it will drain your new batt the longer u take to fix. i think new one costs around $80. i think la. and and. last time, my bike died along highway. not funny sia hahaha. soo. yea get it fixed soon!

Sian. My block and piston need to change. Hais. But what to do, alr part of SP family and i like the bike feeling and handling not to mention its performance. Hah. Just changed to new tyre and new rear brake pad. This one costs me $203. Tyre using Battlax F/R. Anyone using Battlax here?
