decarbonise pipe arz?? my bike oso alot of white smoke when drag... dey will check for brake light mahz?? my front brake connector broke so when applying front brake no brake light.. oni rear brake hav light... i wanna try go for de 1st time c whether can pass anotz... if cannot den go do... cos mayb 1 time can pass no need waste money... inspection muz call for appointment de mahz?? heard u stay woodlands oso right?

hey there. guys... im riding a sp and i need some help..

i have been reading the forum for a mth or so and so far i have never posted anything yet...

 

anyways, i have this annoying problem with my bike....

there was this time when my bro plead to tumpang him cos he was running late to a place... i was reluctant to send him cos hes very very heavy.. but seeing that he was desperate.. i agreed...

 

BUT! it was a mistake!!...

after i finished sending him... my bike has this annoying creaking sound when i throttle.. but it only happens when im on the move... if its stationary and i throttle, the sound doesnt emit at all... anyone have any idea whats wrong? and in addition to that im afraid that the back suspension is kinda soft now... sobz!!! arghhh:mad:

Hi everyone,

 

Just got an NSR on wednesday, FT plate with about 37k on the odometer.

 

first thing i did was to change the horn from the "road runner" beep to a real big one.

 

next thing i knew, the same night when riding, the horn decided to die, then the signal lights also died. they will only work when the rev goes beyond 3000 rpm.

 

thursday, went to workshop, they changed the horn to a Hella one, replace a new battery, and changed the condensor cos the signal lights also died even if rev'ed up.

 

which was fine, until tonight

 

now everything works, if the rev is above 3k. below that, e.g. when idling at traffic lights, signal lights don't flash, and horn is almost dead.

 

seems like they replace a new battery, charged it, and it slowly discharged till tonight, now the battery is dead again.

 

Questions:

 

Is it that the battery is not charging? if so, what are the likely causes? alternator is working, as there are lights, horn when engine is running. Could the connection between the alternator and battery be loose? How to check?

 

could there be something else wrong with the electrical circuit of the bike? maybe something else is drawing current from the battery, a bare wire that accidentaly short circuits the battery when the bike is shaken about? anybody have that experience before?

 

should the hella horn be connected via a relay? what does that do, anyway? eventually, the current through the circuit should still be the same? should i go and insist that to the workshop to install a relay (read somewhere that it should be).

 

and also, does anybody have the english manual for the SP? what is the maintence schedule like for the bike?

Guys... if u wanna chrome ur rims... juz use paint remover (Ti Sai or metal sh*t in chinese) n a toothbrush. those soft type 1.... n maybe a small - screwdriver.

 

Apply the paint remover on the part u wanna remove using those small brush. leave it for awhile until u c those paint cuming out n also pop the bubble out. it's very acidic... den after that use toothbrush remove the paint!!! den u'll leave those small dot dot paint 1. use the screwdriver to remove it n becareful dun scarth it... do it a small part by part... after everything remove... use autosol polish!!! yeah!!! n also... those part u dun wanna remove 1... juz use masking tape to cover it properly... n also... dun those the paint remover wif ur bare hands!!!!

need 2 take out e whole wheel? need 2 tape e tire...?

to add to my query, anybody managed to change their stock horn to larger ones like stebel magnum (MO going on i think). if so, what is the kind of setup that you have? as in, must you use a relay? can the bike signal/horn/headlights on at the same time when the bike is idling?

 

thinking that this could be asking too much, cos usually will be revving when the horn in needed, but still, it sucks to not have signal light on when idling at junction.

 

anyone?

I changed my horn to the stebel magnum 2 horn around 2mth ago ba.. everything was fine.. n nice..=) no problem at all wor.... and the horn is loud n the headlight is bright..=)

 

anyway.. maybe is nt ur battery got problem.. is ur rectricfer?? signal light dun flash at all is dangerous leh... better solve this problem real soon..

Check your chain mike... shd be the due to the weight of ur frenz... make the chain extend too much.. n not enough lubricant... tat y end up having that funny n scary sond... juz check ur chain.. c issiz too loose or too tight..

if change new batt + u throttle till 3k got light ....

When u change the horns to a stebel magnum or a louder one, it's recommended to connect a amp to it..Cos this kind of horns draws alot of power and u may kill it off..

I think for the signal thingy u can try a new relay which is $4 if nt then maybe ur batt bah.. Newbie advice..:sweat:
