hi zalchiko.. haha.. so u planning to get sp or scram?? haha.. for 2.7k i dun think u can get a scram at bike shop.. the last time i went about bike shops to look for bike, the prices were all cut throat.. wat scram u looking for? wr? best to buy from people on the forum.. i bought mine from someone in this forum.. hope it helps.. :D

wah 15-20 only? but the acceleration is amazing man... btw 2 wr went up to the durian trip 300km round trip and we came back fine. dun worry lah, the bike if maintain properly can tahan one.

but drz400 is 4stroke right? i tot 2stroke bikes the power is theoretically twice as much as a 4stroke? therefore in reality 200cc 2stroke have almost the power of a 400cc 4 stroke bike?

yes,u r rite! on paper it looks the same. but on the road or track,the torque n power delivery of a 4stroke is more better than a 2 stroke.

2 many internet racers and not enough real racers in s g!

so we're talking about torque delivery here? haha i actually love the way raw power is meted out by a 2 stroke scram.

eh guys ask u all ah sometimes my wr died because empty fuel. then i switch to reserve, but after i switch to reserve it takes a number of kicks before the bike can start, like more than 10 kicks. or sometimes i just wait few mins then kick one time can start. how come lidat ah? can explain anot?

 

and also when the tank is empty it immeditely popoppo then die within 5 secs. so fast one meh? in this case is it possible to jump start the bike while it's moving after u switch to reserve? i tried before but cannot...

ur problem is easy...my advised is top up ur fuel b4 it reach reserve....

haha.. dun worry bro.. its the exact same problem as mine.. when fuel empty take forever to start.. then when fuel going to empty, make noise a bit.. then before u can even turn the switch.. die liao.. lol.. so now i smart liao.. reach certain mileage i will go pump.. haha.. so lesser chance of having this problem of having to go to reserve.. lol..

haha.. jus rmb to open the cap and see how much fuel inside everytime when ridin.. always bring one small portable torch too =) .. dun be like me ride in PIE den no petrol.. stuck there for 1 hours plus till my frens come save me.. somemore cars over dere a night realli damn scary... =(

and yup it takes less den five secs to go to a stop.. and when u turn to reserve, haf to kick awhile so as to allow fuel to flow again mar.. and wr got this common prob dat is water could enter from the tank cap, so its better to cover it when not ridin.. as it the rust the tank inside.. and may choke the fuel tube..

i see i see... but if say let's on the go then when the tank empties i on the reserve and then turn on the choke will it work? since the choke is open the carb to let the petrol flow rite? i assume when the main tank empties and the engine dies is due to the fuel in the carb all burnt away? tat's why when u open choke it might jump start once petrol starts flowing in?

 

i just hate to have to keep kicking the bike on the side road...

haha..hmm normally if its empty no matter wad matter u tried it wont be able to start de.. so everytime best way is to check the fuel before goin off =)

and yea..haha the feelin of empty tank is really quite **** and kickin on side road and even in the middle of the rd is really not shiok and really paiseh too.. haha =D ... there was once my petrol ran up at a cross junction wah really dat one very sian.. =(

hahaha! but my bike keep dieing on idle leh... sian must bring it to check. some say piston ring, some say clutch housing, some say jetting, some say carb need cleaning, some say pipe got carbon, some say piston got carbon. aiyo headache sial!

hmm.. for me when i jus got my bike i experienced it alot of times..

 

first i change rectifier.. problem still there

then i change pulsar coil.. problem STILL there

then i change jetting. problem gone..

yup haha..normally is the jettin of carb or carb's dirty.. hmm can recommand u one place.. is a kb industrial buildin(kaki bukit rd 1) shop name call project revolution..the guy quite friendly..look for matthew,think he'll be able to help..

but they say trakmaster no "not for highway use" sign right...haha..yeah considering maxxis though...how much for front and back eh? btw trey im the one who bought your ufo handguard. good stuff. lol. save both my levers alot of time during my crashes at tm..haha
