how do the ns boys ride in army boots?

im going for ict soon. i tried to ride in army boots but found it dangerous. the thick soles are making my light brake tapping feels like a heavy ebrake. i also cannot tap / feel the gear correctly.

 

how do the army guys ride in army boots? lol. its voodoo!

u will eventually get use to it

1st week of riding(with boots) is like what u mentioned,but slowly u will get the hang of it

Funny. Because I've worn them to ride from Day 1, 12 years ago till today! On the flip side, I find wearing anything other than boots (army or proper riding boots) very uncomfortable... Feels unsafe?

You'll get used to it after afew rides! In fact, i feel that its much more comfy riding with the army boots! Feel so much safer and more confident

Just go for a couple slow rides around your neighborhood in them. You'll get used to it.

Be careful about a few things. 1, the laces may get caught in certain places and cause you to fall/drop the bike (thats why riding boots usually have no laces..so I've read) and 2, the heavy soles may cause you to accidentally downshift as you rest your foot on the gear pedal. Can be potentially dangerous.

 

But I like riding with army boots. haha and yes goretex!
