yup.... true... EO change do make a noticeable difference in FC as well.. but for my case the biggest improvement was seen after carb washed and tuned (also depends on where and who wash and tune your bike)...

just for ur information my VerS now on SG road riding normally (rev about 6x1000rpm) can travel about 390km for a full tank... if go tour in Malaysia (rev high high) can travel about 330 or 340km on a full tank...

once again :goodluck: bro...

Think got open VTEC or not to mi my FC is bout the same. maybe ur riding style bah. Needforspeed.

Btw ur bike is 1st hand ah? what i can think of is ur default fuel/air ratio maybe too rich liao. For what i know new bike push out from factory are on the rich settings but sometimes they might adjust it too rich then causing high FC. Do u notice any black smoke from ur exhaust when u high rev ur bike? Another way to verify is to take out ur spark plugs to see the colour, if very black then comfirm the factory adjust ur fuel/air ratio too rich.

For carb bike like S4 will enjoy abit of performance gain in cool weather, rainy days or at night when the air is cooler, why?

Physics 101, cool air has slightly more oxygen content percentage compare to warm air thus greater potential energy. When cooler air is mixed with fuel spray and feed into the combustion chamber and ignited, it will expand more than warm air thus releasing greater amount of energy per cm2 of air.

Thats why air compressed from a turbocharger must be cooled sufficiently via an aftercooler b4 it is force feed into the combustion chamber if not it will rob horsepower or worst pre ignite b4 the plugs can fire causing severe engine damage.

Btw if u feed pure oxygen into the engine, a single spark from ur plugs will dis-integrate ur engine block together with u along...
