simon..u use yr ST to deliver pizza??

wat's WOWs??

btw..how much extra u paid to "upgrade" yr insurance??

n roughly..if i work on sat n sun only..how much can i make??

WOW = Waiter On Wheels

the upgrading price for insurance's premium not sure yet, cuz PS is still using vespa.

u can try to calculate base on S$4.20/hrly rated & S$1.00/order incentive. average WOWs able to deliver approximately 5 - 25 orders during evening 6hr work session.

i believe the motive r double win situation for WOWs & PH to use personal bike.

Positive

> WOWs' additional incentive package.

> Safer handling with own machine.

Negative

> Only ppl with own bike need apply.

> Accelerates wear & tear.

> Insurance/tax to be paied from own pocket.

> Dangerous cuz of the unusual load.

> Cant stack orders. :(

normally we wont 'squeeze' out our own bike's max torque power, so using own bike it should be able to reduce unneccessary risk of committing unwanted traffic offences & reducing chances of accidents(own bike comes with better condition), unless the rider thinks he is rider a Haya...

it will also increase revenue for PH from reducing maintenance fee.

Not really leh.......when we use own bike...since wun use the bike's max power and not commiting traffic offences would mean going slower........then the orders will end up all being late......and not to mention if cannot stack den oni take 1 or 2 orders......den still travel slow.....haha...... no more 25 orders in 6 hrs liao loh...... probably end up like 10-15 in 6 hrs.......

There will be a despatcher at the computer. You will be given a rider code[numbers from 01 to 99] usually. So you log in into the computer using your rider code.

So, if there's two riders, the first to logged in usually send the first order, followed by the second rider to logged in and so on if there's more riders. When you go out on an order, the order's no. will be keyed under your rider code. This will take you out of the queue until you come back from the order. Then you will be in the queue as the last, the next rider to return will take over your last spot and so on.

Sometimes, the orders are very close to each other. Instead of sending two riders to the same area, you will send both orders. How many orders per trip you can send is up to you when there is alot of orders in the same area. But there's a limit as in managers won't let you send too many orders or else the last customer who recieves will complain about it being late.

The "who logged in first sends first" or "who comes back first send first" can all be thrown into the rubbish bin if you have a racist despatcher or one who practice favouritism. No offence.

Anyway, other restaurants might have their own working procedures. :]

in my store, the "who loggin in first sends first" applies only to the first few orders in the morning.. meaning whoever runs dough in the morning usually send the 1st order, following by who log in 2nd n 3rd..

den in the evening/night, it's usually who come back first who take the 1st available order.. being a dispatcher myself, i usually give 2 orders at one time if the delivery time is quoted 30 minutes.. if quote 45 minutes, i will give up to 3. if quoted 1.5 hours (usually rare unless suddenly got 30 orders pending in 10 minutes), i will give 4 or even 5 orders each..

based on past records, there r riders in my store who has taken 7 orders at a time.. and for my own record, the most i've taken is 4 orders during last year christmas..

sidetrack a bit, usually i only take 1 or 2 orders with me.. seldom take 3 orders unless by order of manager or dispatcher who they are willing to help me call the customer that i'll be arriving late.. the reason why i don't like to cheong as much as last time is because of various reasons.. 1st of all, i've learnt how to relax.. no point overworking and get yourself sick.. ending up paying medical fees and losing income.. 2nd, a quite long incident which took place.. one of the rider was met with an accident soon after joining us.. did my area manager go visit my fellow colleague's funeral? no.. did my area manager go hospital visit and send condolence? no.. she only did this.. "why accident??"

well, after having a chat with some of my lao jiaos there, i feel it's not worth it slogging my life at Pizza Hut. Afterall, it's just a part-time job for me to earn extra income to buy better food for myself, pay half of my poly sch fees, having more movies and supper with my gf, and afford to pay my petrol and maintenance of my bike.. when did i realize this? just last sunday.. :giddy:

Things to add.. No point rushing for orders and get yourself into an accident.. We risked our lives for the orders.. are our life worth a mere $20.95?

And what's more? My store really sucks.. riders who worked OT aren't paid OT rates.. the hours will be keyed in another day where u did not work.. anyway, i don't blame my manager coz the instruction came from my area manager.. just today i found out that we aren't allowed to drink pepsi anymore!!!.. wtf is that? :nono:

sunnyday,

it all depends on the 'hit' the restaurant got, or i should say it's during high season OR raining days.

years back i did 12 orders at 1 trip delivered within 75mins, all were within the area & fortunately most of it r small order. i was offered to clear all when no riders were back on time cuz that nite only 5 riders working. :D

on average i can deliver between up to 8 orders is not a plm to me at PS, trade area has shrunk since early this year for other new outlet! *!$#%&@!%@*^.

my moto ---> more orders = more incentives = more TIPS...! :D

Very true........ its not worth the dangers we put ourselves through juz for that small amount of $$...... Especially when your area manager is like that......makes us feel unwanted n unappreciated....... they get the glory, we get the sh**

This is one of the biggest problems singapore has with its service....rated not even among the top 20......

Relax n get to your destination safely is the most important...... if your order is late so be it....at most get abit of scolding from the customer tats it.....you still get paid......haha

The system itself is flawed....so it can't be helped...... rite simon??

Luckily at least the managers in the restaurant i'm working in are still alright......else i would haf screwed them upside down.......

Its better to realise late den never!

But as for the part about OT i seriously feel that it happens to me i would refuse to work after the normal working hours until they rectify that problem....i would encourage my fellow colleagues to do that..... It is an integrity as well as payment problem. If the company has that low an integrity to do that den i would play to their level...... You dun pay me i dun work, simple as that.
