hmmm... i think wash can but not using kerosene... it's kinda harmful for the chain thingy for what i know...

Kerosene is NOT harmful for the O/X-ring chains, in fact, it is recommended by the manufacturer to clean the chain using Kerosene. Avoid using petrol to clean the chain.

Hey guys, anyone have a problem with clutch being too "stiff"? I often allow friends to try out my bike and they complained my clutch being too stiff. But when they bought the F6-N, their clutch proves too be very soft.

I wonder could it be mine being a old bike, worn and full of dirt, thus being stiff. I rem someone told me that FZ6S and FZ6N clutch cables are mounted up slightly different, FZ6S' ones are pretty tricky to fix.

Anyway, Just asking whether someone had this problem and went to any bike shop to fix it. Care to recommend please? Gonna change my handle grips also, been using stock for these 2 years. Thank You guys

err..not sure wat u mean by stiff.. if u mean wen u pull in there's a lot of tension or wen u pull in u feel some resistance?

try oiling ur cable a bit.. dun use chain wax hor..use lube/grease..

if u feel smooth halfway then resistance mebbe u got a kink in the cable. Clutch cables have a lifespan..need to change when it's worn out.

I tried oiling it be4. Better a little. But think this time, once and for all, have it replace. Will update the price when I get it done. If anyone had it done be4, please update too.

Washing and proper cleaning is strongly encouraged. The washing clear away those grimes and dirt that sticks on you chain.

You can use degreasers to clean the chain links and parts. But ALWAYS remember not to use anything too strong that kills you O rings within the links. Wash with fresh water thorough & make sure no degreaser residue on the chain. Apply back the proper chain oil or wax to protect and lucbricate the chain & links.

Strong degreaser may cause 'makan' on the O ring and some may give you the MAX clean with dry O ring then which may crack later.

Just my way of cleaning and oiling of chain.

actually if you are using scottoiler oil, i dont see a need to use any degreaser..its comes off quite easily

another tips for those who wants to keep their chain clean, keep your unwanted socks the next time you think you want to throw away already, it comes in handy...wear it like a glove and hold the chain and wipe as you go along, then after you can throw away that sock and your hand and fingers is still clean, and your chain clean too,,,,:D

just dun do this while the bike on mainstand engaged in gear..gd way to lose fingers

Toothbrush, socks, chain brush, (soft)copper brush, paint brush all also can la. As long the grimes can be out.

Though it did mentioned abt function and look, but there is no directional flow scoop to channel the incoming cool air onto the radiator. The only flow panel is the one at the mid rear of the panel and it like for the discharge side on the air flow than the input.

If i am not wrong the one you are looking at is from Ermax.

Check out this the newer products.... super chio. But pricey....that Dann belly pan cost $270 minimum.Ermax

You can order from MW for Ermax product.
