Just A few things to lookout:

-when suddenly ure powerful electric horn sound like bmx bicycle ones

-ure lights become brighter only when u accelerate.

- the signal refuses to lit up or very slow to lit up although its brand new

-frequent stalling while riding short distances

-if have a voltmeter. see that the voltage doesnt go below 12.

-perculiar smell coming out from ure battery when u inspect it.

Hi guys,have any of you'll done any air box mods/re-routing of cables that are blocking the openings of the frame air intakes slots , on your FZ1S(Gen 2)? If so,was the stock ECU able to compensate for the additional intake of air?

I think i did All the items mention. No Problem at all. Just more air for the Bike, no Harm at all.

Went for my Pipe inspection today, Result: Just Passed..

Scare cannot pass cause Had my CAT removed.

my voltmeter sometimes go below 12v after a ride, while idling maybe with signal on. 11.8V.

 

Other than that when riding its 13.6- 13.8v, normal idling during rides (say stops at traffic light) 12.6-12.8V

 

 

 

2) other than that when throttle , light slightly brighter.. no other symptoms as identified above.

 

Due for a change hor?

Stock setting is already lean.. after doing the airbox mod and decat it will be leaner. Engine will be running more hotter. The ECU will still able to cope with the higher air intake..A pc3 will be require to richen up the whole powerband curve and hence the bike's FC will goes out of the window.

Not really leh, tt time i only got FCE, Air Box Mod + Wire Reroute.

Engine Temp - ok

Throttle respond - Better

Petrol - i can hit 320km for full tank

Just for that extra bit of power?

 

Do you have any idea that you are helping to add more pollution into the air.

 

A functioning catalytic can helps to reduce about 90% of the harmful pollutants in your exhaust by breaking down the hydrocarbon. And these pollutants can cause lung cancer, breathing problem, weaken and reduce the swimmers in guys and many other health problem and as well as creating many other harmful things to the environment like greenhouse gas....

 

Yah lar.... inspection pass lar...so....you are not doing your bit to help reduce pollution.:(:(

Cat converters are restrictive to your exhaust and makes the engine run hot.

 

If you take out the cat you'll see a significant reduction in your engine's running temp, possibly up to 10 deg C even.
