flush/change coolant yearly is considered/called casual changing... lol

let's not say if your coolant have problems... if on a normal basis or no issues for new bikes, 3-5 years no problem one... old bikes e.g. near to 10 years old, it would be good to change it every 2 years... :)

you'll be surprised how quickly coolant disintegrates in our climate. 1 year is the norm.

Normal...I had changed out my stock oil filter to a reusable stainless steel oil filter. It reduce the temp greatly.. Fan seldom on so frequently.

This is the filter i m using.

by experience...

the longest i have kept the coolant unchanged was 2 years, by that time when the coolant was drained, the color has faded

I have it once for 1.5 years, condition still alright but the coolant color has started to show sign of fading

Changing at 1 year, the color of the coolant still look fresh and good.

hi all does anyone know whether i can adjust the seat height for fazer600 06 version?!~ :(

and also where is the coolant? front part?

You can:

- shave the seat

- adjust the suspension to the softest setting

- lower the forks

Coolant is under the seat at least for 04 FZ6. Details on how to change, etc in the manual. If you don't have a manual u can dl it from yamaha website.

Y "upgrade" to a R1 pump ...

it oso same bore stoke as out pump 16

gen1 is 14 lah....

if pay close to $300.....for a 2nd hand oem stock pump....

it totally nt worth it...

rather invest in sumting else or get other makes of pump...

as i said b4....

the item must work & work well.... & competitivie pricing...

branding to mi is 2nd...lol

I changed mine to R1 radial pump new. Better feel, though may not as grippy as the higher bore brake pump. Price is not as high as you think. I will not reveal the price here as someone is selling here, business etiquette.

I was thinking to get one 05 R1 used set from Ebay not cheap if to send to SGP, my friend jeered me. They said new set dun really that ex, so i called shop. They give me good price for the full setup (everything damm parts like lever etc, but no reservoir holder, must fab, not ex either from the good mech). Your brakeline must change (for FZ1 Gen2) slightly longer.

To those who thinking to replace to radial pump. If your OEM hose have not change to the Steel Braided hose, think 1st if you need to get the pump or not before you change the hoses, if not get slightly longer hose to future pump upgrade purpose. I replaced my Galfer hoses when i change my pump. :dozed:

So far the radial pump serves me well enough. Better response.

I didn't know I already in love with my Slow Little Greenie until recently almost selling her away...how can like that? :faint:
