tat why i looking for stock end can..lor... who haf it.. ??

Y not try HL and ask how much? FZ1OA forum sometime got those fanatic owner simply give away stock can or sell cheap cheap.....dirt cheap. But the shipping can be expensive due to the wieght of the stock 'tissue box' can. Hope it's help. If the stock can cost you much, why not simply change to a aftermarket pipe. Maybe slightly higher a bit. But since you have spend so much, why not add abit more for a simple after market can like Leo Vince (though it has been labelled as ....... by some oldtimers Fazerians----- we know la... ) generally, LV is cheaper than those branded like Arkra, Arrow etc.... price good, quality good... or you can ask ard if anyone letting go used aftermarket can.

Good luck!

Hi guys,

need some advice.

I am getting my new bike soon. What is the running in procedure for the FZ1?

Also, anyone of you using Stebel Magnum horn for your FZ1? Just replace the original or need some mounting brackets?

Please advise.

Thanks!

bro, brand new bike right?

go install stebel nautilus compact horn... it's better than magnum and will cause more terror to the cars who will cut into ur lane... :D

if u install this, please retain your stock horn so that when your bike is 3 yrs old and going for inspection, all you need to do is to un-pluck the cable for your stebel horn... :)

you may chose to install this horn on your left side of your bike... it should fit there jus nicely like fz6... :D

Hi,

I been searching on the net for info but there are non available, I have realise the riders in here are very experience and knowledgeable.

I just visited seng kwang and he mentioned that he can operate on the catalytic converter leaving the metal box there to avoid being caught by tp.

However i just realise there could be potential problems.

-Will the metal box be prone to rusting due to the welding?

-Since the cat will be empty, will it pass the emission test during the regular inspection?

-Will the bike ecu read error due to the change in emissions?

I will be grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Running in, you got 3 choices.

Hard run in. What many sexperts believe will be good for more power. Dubious, but they still believe it anyway.

2nd, the RTFM method. aka Read the Fuuccking Manual way.

Just do what the manual says and treat it gently, riding like a pusssay for the next 3000km.

Or, just ride it normally. Like I did.

I mean what the hell. Top Gear 100kph is 4000rpm.

You don't need to be gentle to a CL2 bike, especially a 1000cc.

I even broke the 9000rpm for a few seconds during run in. The manual stated "No prolonged operation over bla bla bla rpm" and so, just ride it normally and give it a good kick in the ass from time to time.

My engine is still healthy.

i think its the metal box that holds the cat converter..

wow, diy.. I guess i m right abt the experience n knowledge lvl..

did they have any issue wif emission errors on ecu, and does it still meet the LTA emission btw?

Ecu error = No issue.

LTA = No prob at all.

The bike will run cooler without the cat but the FC might hurt a bit.
