i just did mine at bike work on sat.. total damage $110.

change coolant $20, remove thermostat $30, change brake fluid $30 n tuning $30...

Unless u want to save abit and DIY yourself. All u need is a small saw, a file, a electric drill.

Didn't feel that hitting just 220kmh on a thousand is acceptable, so I sent my Fzs1 for a top overhaul. If after this i still cant hit 250kmh, its for certain i got a lemon.

 

Also had a look at the plugs i just installed for a week. Looks like the mixture is running too lean. Should ask him to tune the carbs, this time infront of me.

 

Mech. Reports that the rubber part connecting the carbs to block is damaged and needs replacing. I'll need to head down to see what bloody part could justify the quotation doubling.

for fz1 headlamp, the bulb 12v60/55w, can use olwer wattage? cos the bulb i'm using is extremely hot n energy consuming. would like to change to something almost the same but not so hot n most impt is not consuming the batt so much causing the stored battery to b in lower voltage. please advise...
