yes with enough elbow grease and patience you can polish until it shines.. i dun have too much patience.. so mine although shiny, only 2 of them shines and its not even back to the original colour yet.

Advice needed. Recently facing difficulties in changing gears. Even when changing into high gear, my bike feel like heavy and like running in lower gear. Chain and sprockets well oiled and in gd condition. Any ideas?

Basically, i dab some the headers and use a cheap but soft cloth to spread it. The cloth will get real dirty with crap very fast.

You probably need 2-3 cloths to get the job done.

 

1st cloth = cleaning off the rust/ crap

2nd cloth = polish/ touching up

 

Thanks just came back from HomeFix with one container, 16 plus. Will let it work it's magic later. Everytime I wash my bike the header is the only part I prefer not to look at.

I didnt bother with the headers until last month or so.

It removed 2 years of rust and crap, and I think you will be happy with the result too.

sound like a clutch prob. how old is ur bike? is ur bike exceptionally noisy compared to last time? engine oil might cause difficulty in changing gears but making the bike feel heavy, i'm not so sure already.

My bike gonna be 2 yrs old. Noisy after i start riding. At first i thought it is chain noise but it came from the engine, like rattling sound. Is it the timing belt? If hard to throttle, is it the throttle plate or cable?

It belongs to the aerosol spray-type and cost $12.70 at Home Fix D.I.Y.

Wondering those riding FZ1 2010 having this problem or not?

Whenever I put side stand, locked the steering and park the bike, I get this one click sound from it.(Most of the time)

 

Whenever I passing a hump, once over also will get this click sound.

Should I get my front fork check? Any recommended shop to go to?

heavy rain will cause rust overnight.

 

just go for a ride, all rust will be gone..

seems like you got the same 'issue' as me.

 

can't detect where it came from also.. but some areas which are confirm not the cause..

Maybe can just sit on bike and give front fork some hump to check? Btw anyone using quick shifter?

2 years old? then unlikely to b clutch prob liao. can try adjusting ur clutch cable to c if the prob persisted. if not, can try to listen where the noise came frm. i did had experience on my fz1, timing chain rattling sound from 5000rpm n above. still can go but the noise is unbearable. so diagnosed that tensioner n timing chain might b the cause. so end up decide to do valve clearance n replace timing chain n tensioner.

 

u might wanna get a 2nd opinion on this.
