How much does a damper costs?

A pretty decent set would prolly cost at least $500.. Some.would even need a separate bracket for mounting..

Bros, just installed h&b top box. Handling quite weird nw. The handlebar shakes violently when let go.

Seems like the top box is affecting the handling. Any way to counter this issue?

Actually many factors can caus the handlebar shaking..

like shaky hands? hahaha..

anyway, my handlebar does not shake and i have 3 boxes permanently up on my bike on both local & oversea rides.. but i have a GPR rotary damper on.. :)

btw, how violently does ur handlebar shakes? kinda weird cus even with boxes, it shouldn't shake that violently.. can i know yours is a brand new bike or 2nd hand?

How's the GPR damper serving you? I wanted to get a rotary damper and seems like Scotts do not have it for the FZs.

R u referring to this?

If i understand correctly, damper is to improve the control of your handlebar turning, making it stiffer? Like maybe easier to handsfree or 1 hand riding?

So far in my 1 mth+ on fz, i feel my handlebar control is just right. So just curious but u installed damper with wat kind of objectives in mind?

Not just for corners.. Wobbling, tank slap and also not so tiring for the arms imo..

i think this explains all.. hahaha.. :D i lazy to elaborate.. :p

"A steering damper, steering stabiliser or sprint damper is a damping device designed to inhibit an undesirable, uncontrolled movement or oscillation of a vehicle steering mechanism, a phenomenon known in motorcycling as wobble, or in extreme cases, a tank-slapper. Modern motorbikes are unlikely to exhibit this behaviour in daily use thanks in part to better dampers and due to their very stiff front ends and other general improvements in design and tyre technology."
