Hi Bros, is there any reason for one tyre to be extremely hot whereas the other is just like normal warm.

 

Yesterday I noticed that my rear tyre is extremly hot, but the front tyre feels normal. I just rode about 2~3 km to the nearby petrol station to pump the tyre. Only then I realize that the rear tyre is extremely hot. Rear brake disk feels ok, not hot and can turn the wheel without any noise. While checking by hand, the overall tyre feels very sticky as compare to front one, near the thred groove feel even more sticky, like some melted rubber or going to melt.

 

Any possible reason that can cause this kind of overheating? I am using PR3, both tyre was changed at the same time and usage is about 9K km / 8 months. Probably tomorrow i'll bring the bike to shop for frame-body-wheel alignment check; I can't think of any other possible cause. Thanks to all of you for any kind of advice or clue.

Just some advice ...

 

Get the bike shop to itemise the cost and the final price.

 

I had a few interesting experiences ... 1 bike shop asked me to pay $100 extra as I was not taking a loan ... another bike shop 'forgot' to mention GST!

Nope bro...... you mean the rear light rite ?? From what I have read in here, it seems like its either my brake light has died off or a changed to the brakelight set to LEDs ( Which is not the problem as I didnt changed it ). So I will need to check it out coz it just happen recently....might be my brakelight died off i guess.....No worries, Thanks for the advise. If not I'll just give HL a call to clarify this.....CheerX guys !

first of all, is your tire in correct pressure? usually only low pressure or flat tire will have this situation..

for the rear number, depend on your riding style & your requirement.. i tot u would know especially if u had played on tracked before?

 

anyway, for me, i'm more to a long distance rider, 40 is not suitable for me, 50 just nice, 60 better & smoother..

yup.... 10/40 seem like very difficult shifting gear when is temp is over 90°.. This is fisrt tour bike. I think i go 60... i will not keep this bike long.. 2 more yrs instalment den trade for sportbike..

60 would be heavier lei.. but it will be very smooth on your gears la.. hahaha..

 

maybe you would like to try 50 first? now u r using 40?

 

i got motorex from bikeworkz.. tat time u met me there..

 

but i would suggest u to try calling ah beng to reserve for u in case he go out of stock.. the last time round it went out of stock, in the end i change 7100.. hahaha..

Yup.. Saw u n yr werks bike..

I like to share info regarding fc.. I think shell 97 give extra mileage as mine goes 297km then fuel reserve start to blinking. And as for tyre I recommend Bridgestone s20.. Fast grip n gd handling when cornering.

i never actually bothers about FC of my bike.. if wan good FC, fz1 is not the choice already.. would go for other bikes with better fuel economy instead.. hahaha.. i always trust a moto that had been pasted down from the old fazerians, don't worry & ride more!

 

tires wise, so far i trust PR3.. no problem with high speed maneuverings in heavy storm of 50-100m visibility.. i still feels the grip and not feeling that the tires just sliding above the water.. hahaha..

Hi bro..can I knw wat engine oil u use? urs seems to have a better fuel consumption. Mine is 270km den start blinking. and I use Motul 5100.

i mostly dont speed more then 4k rpm n changed gear at 3k rpm

hehe...ur bike overload with bling bling la....must go slimming centre...but mine alos 200km then hit reserve...
