In stock form, I'd believe that short of the Walter Wolf RG400.... a Hurricane/ZX-4R and the RS250 should take the title... Less restriction from regulations at the time they were built.

 

Unrestricted, my guess that it's anybody's game... but I'll root for the RS250 and ZX-4R.

 

 

Personally I've seen a modified local RS250 with Arrow full system and 39mm flatside carbs. It also had regearing done.... meaning that it's gear ratios were changed. It was geared for a 250 - 260kph top speed. Definitely a track tool...

anyhoo... All the 'mods' i mentioned are legal power derestriction methods to the PGM4 in other countries, unleashing its true racing pedigree form that it was DESIGNED for.

 

Just like ppl say RS250s put Arrow pipes to unleash more horsies that is INTENDED to achieve.

 

It is what these bikes can be capable of given the right form of tuning method

( "MOD to the max " in your language :lol: ). Of coz we dun tok about big boring and upping the C.C lah coz that would be cheating, wouldnt it?!

4)RVF(saw some1 post tis bike can hit 240km/h....i denied it.200-220km)

5)RS250(180-200km+)

6)Pgm4(180-200km)

not sure bout vfr so no comment.

From your little list hor...OBVIOUSLY a STOCK RS250 is not rated behind a STOCK PGM4 interms of "lowend" (by lowend i presume u meant pickup acceleration from standstill). Iz only when you derestrict the PGM4 with the methods i describe above that you can substantiate your list as such.

 

And dude....same goes for the RVF..its definitely NOT superior to the RS250 in terms of "lowend" performance..Unless you toking about the RVF having bigger rear sprocks, HRC airbox, Aftermart Jets, Aftermart Exhaust, Fast Throttle, velocity stacks... etc..... But then!! we are talking about Stock are'nt we? :lol:

hello people..'i'm new to this forum and here's my take on which bike is the fastest...for class 2A, i believe that the hurricane is the fastest..i personally have owned one before and i have rode the bike to it's max...the top speed was around 240km/hr, it's pick up (if manipulated properly) should be on par with the rvf400. As for S4, i personally feel that it cannot match up to any of the bikes discussed about so far.

for the fastest pick up, the title would definately belong to the 2 strokers...because of engine designs, their engine cycles much faster than 4 strokers. hence, the rs250 or the rd350 should be the winners of this cat.

just my 2 cents worth of info..

If you put a top box, it adds 10kph to the top speed. And every pannier adds an extra 5kph.

 

After that you can buy all thost K&N, Ohlins, Dunlop and whatever other stickers. By the time you're done, even Haya can't see your taillights. :p
