from infos gathered in the web,

recommended mileage for iridium plug change:

Denso = 30,000 miles or 50,000 km

NGK = 50,000 miles or 80,000 km

OWS = 200,000 miles or 320,000 km

Hodako = ??? miles

unless u plan to travel very long distances like around the earth a few times, OWS is the choice. others will last the bike life-time.

I have just fitted OWS over the weekend. It flet much better than my old sets of normal plugs. So now I don't need to change plugs for another 100k to 150k km. Too bad the OWS oil promo is over but you can still buy the plugs for about $23 each (I was told). They are good value for the money.

I read their brochure. It totally made sense for me. Dual iridium tips improves life and many things. Make sure you get the correct heat range. Mine was a 9 which is in the green ideal range above 450c.

I got mine at FutureScootering. OWS had promo with EO for $25 but be warn, the EO is actually for car. So I am thinking should I use it? Anyway the promo is over. I do not know who else sells them. My bike service shop told me they also got them so I suspect you can buy them everywhere now.

If you are interested, read their details here - OWS details

Regarding the plugs poll. Denso and NGK came out quite a few yrs back so there will be more poeple using them. Plugs like Hodako and OWS were recent promotions so they will get less votes.

Just did some calculations.

OWS plugs will last for 150,000km. I am only averaging 12,000km per year. That means I don't need to meddle with my plugs for the next 12.5 yrs. For 12 yrs, I might have to spend $250-$400 worth of normal plugs vs $100 (4x) iridium plugs. Besides I hate to remove the tank and fairing for plug change. No wonder the service shop did not want to recommend me these plugs.

Sorry for e late reply. Had probs wif my internet connection. Hmm, I'm still deciding between Hodako n OWS plugs. Basically bcoz they're of almost e same design, but e price difference is quite big. Juz e brand, or is there a real difference in performance?

NGK Iridium - Single Tip?

Denso Iridium - Single Tip?

OWS Iridium - Double Tip?

So which one has more power, durability and smoothness?

I was using Denso spark plug. The normal one. It's abit rough to the feel. Iridium spark plugs increased my FC slightly, say 10%.

So to your question, I can't answer since I changed from normal plugs to iridium plugs

Spark plugs for bikes are the same for all, to my knowledge. :cheeky:

My street bike's FC used to be 16km/l before changing to iridium plugs. Now it's ranging about 20-21km/l after changing to iridium plugs, based on the last few times I checked.
