I don't think its a fuel tax on foreign vehicles, bro.

Don't forget that there are just as many local bikes pumping there too. M'sia is one of those rare countries where the govt subsidy on fuel is very high, from which we as the immediate neighbours benefit alot from. I guess the fuel rise could be from a cutback on this subsidy rather than a rise in fuel tax. But whatever the case is, its still a bloody rise in cost for us who make that trip across the causeway......

So rite now do we hv 2 pay anytin xtra 4 pumpin in m'sia? i nv pump there b4 la.

ChesterS,

The fuel price just got increase so pump more pay more....

Like Fuzz mentioned, it is a cut in subsidies that cause a rise in fuel prices...not extra tax...

As for tax, singapore cars are imposed with a RM$20 to go across the causeway...

As for bikes.....till now, no news on whether any tax will be imposed...

There are talks about them imposing tax on singapore bikes....about RM$9...

Also some say that the bike tax will be imposed May and some say July....

so...guess you are right to say that we have to pay more for fuel trips to M'sia....

Come to think of it.. did anyone actually tried looking into money changing trend? I mean with some history records.. it MIGHT (big assumption here) show that there is a weekly or monthly trend for the changing rates...

I mean thinking logically.. the money changer might feel that more people will come on weekends and beginning of month etc.. and adjust the rates according to all these factors right?

Not encouraging you to clock posts but maybe you can start 1 topic in one of the appropriate forum regarding your lost family member. That'll get the attention of others.

Well, good luck. It's hard to keep a lookout for him when you say that his last whereabouts was at JB. But I'll try my best.
