Ok. Sent the registration via email liao under Team SV.

Can add my name to the list of riders?

Thks.

Yes guys, any recommendation on chain lubes? Thinking of installing a Scottoiler (I'm a lazy guy) but in the interim, I need some chain lube.

And what size bike cover will fit the SV?

Posted

If you are buying bike cover from LAB aka Ah Boy, just tell him it's for Super 4, with or without box.

For Scottoiler, probably can do a group purchase for a better deal. Denden might be interested in it. Last check was at S$185 for a set.

hmm, quite unexpectedly

currently i fetch about 290 per tank on sg road condition.

works out to be around 280km/17litre = around ~16.4km

:giddy:

not yet tried on a long trip.

yeah!

use my picture some more...

hehehehe!...

I spent quite a fortune tuning & retuning the baby to have longer mileage.

When I first got it, it was on 12-13km/l.

After the retune and some DIY mods, its up to the present 15-16km/l without any significant loss in top-end (have hit 270km/h on her before with more space to go).

Think you are getting much better mileage than me, but prolly due to rider weight issues.

Forgot to mention to you. Current sprocket sizes are 16-40. That makes it one very torquey TLR. Useful for S'pore roads but not very for high-speed / long distance runs.

If you get the chance, do change it back to the stock 17-39 for the faster-than-light effect.

As for touring, its much more comfy than, say a 636.

On the way to Mersing:

http://www.picturesky.com/albums/userpics/10975/index.php_act%3DAttach%26type%3Dpost%26id%3D2159063.jpg

As I like to say, if you can handle and tame a TLR to make do anything you want, then there isn't any bike you can't handle at all....

its indeed a very torque.

simply cant resist accelerating to feel the punch of the torque on highway

:lovestruck:

but somehow it lack of the agile that SV can provide due to its bulky 230kg weight (est).

Very true.

Initially I had problem handling it. But after a few days of 'rider-running-in'.

Its getting better and better :D

Then I rode on another bike of a litre class, basicly I feel very effortless on handling it compared to TLR. :cheeky:

Quote from bbq organiser Spectrum' Hornet Group

SBBF: The starting point will probably be at Clarke Quay.

Just the route is not reveal...

Guess they will have to work with the Traffic police on that.

(Don't think it will be easy... with the IMF events on.. We'll see)

:cheeky:

Anniversary on 16th:

Will need an advance party to set up the fire &

ferry the Makan/Drinks/Ice, charcoal/barang barang...

to Cote dázur @ 5pm...

So that fire be ready when the team arrives.

Will keep the food simple...

(bikers don't eat much lah)

Satay(main), Chicken Wings, Sausages, nasi lemak, otah.

U will have to pengkang your own food...

- someone can marinate the wings.

Will need someone to organize 3 Cakes (Small)

for the 3rd/2nd/1st anni of the three groups.

with names eg. Blackbirds, Hornets & SV. Candles.

Best suggest get from Marine/Parkway Parade.

(can just walk over & pick it up)

If u wanna contribute makan...

Most welcome.... will be more interesting.

Bring a dish.

Just post... bring enough for 5 people.

eg. kueh, special fried rice,

(will wave the $10 & reimburse u more if require)

It's our very own celebration...

Let's make it personal...

Me no bring "Durian bombs" it's gonna bomb out! :giddy:

After the ride... ha ha...

So, we're left with....

Kazuhiko!!! the one with Leo Vince exhaust we've yet to hear... sad.

Try to get him out, we might have a PERFECT TEN!!!

hi to all sv riders,

Sorry to all, i could not attend the meetup due to my oversea deployment from the 9th sept to 22th sept. Maybe some other time when i am back to singapore to able to meet all of you. I am still new to my sv 650 and maybe we can share some experiences and knowledge about this bike.

By the way, i have jus install the lower side faring but i dont have the time to repaint it.

Regarding for the Leo vince exhaust, the sound is much more louder compare to the stock exhaust.

i will attach some pics of my bike..

regards

kazuhiko

The more I ride my SV, the less I care about going to the annual bike show and looking at new,

or expensive, or exotic machinery. I'm continuing to mod my bike into exactly what I want it,

and enjoying every mile I put on it.
