Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the catalytic converter was in the header, in front of the slipon exhaust. Since you would need to remove the stock exhaust to drill or hammer out the baffles, should not make a difference if 49 state or not.

I think you can find a stock exhaust in Singapore to remove baffles if you want to save on shipping costs. Or try my Rhineharts over at Twins (for Dynas). They dont have baffles....

no the pipes that is from 2004 to 2006, that is the one that does not have the catalytic, it is on those bikes that are rubber-mount carb era...this is approve for use in 49 state across usa and thus known as the 49

after 2007, which begins the efi era, you find the catalytic in the front of the slip-on..this now approve for california state and sometimes known as 50 states

i was lucky to get a pair of 49 state cos 1 of my friend was working in chicago harley, i just pay for the shipping and got tony to drill it out for $60

for the catalytic, get yee to do it but it cost more, think around $260, time consuming to slowly drill out the catalytic

there is a 48 state, but i not too sure if it fit efi model

these are pre - 2004, i think they stretch to 1985

IC, but you can just leave the catalytic converter in, wont affect the sound too much. If you just want to be louder, removing baffles is enough.

morning bros n sistas,

i want to get kuryakyn grips for my roadking. are they universal fits or do they have different sizes? tried looking around on ebay and i see different numbers behind the descriptions. like 6212, 6088, something like that. is that the model number?

Apparently, they are not universal fit. Like you I thought they are before and when I got myself a pair of Kuryakyn Premium ISO Grips back in August from ebay, I nearly got the wrong set. Best is to contact the seller directly for more information before your purchase anything from them.

I wanted to buy the black version of Kuryakyn Premium ISO Grips but when I read up the information, they don't fit my 05 sportster and I have to settled for the chrome ones.

Anyway, they are good grips, no question about it.

hey guys, i'm new to harley too

well since my bike is currently at twins performance,

i chance upon the mentioned grips you guys were talking about..

seems like a huge shipment for accessories just came in..

saw loads of carton boxes of vance & hince exhaust systems,

grips, foot pegs, lights, handlebars...etc..

do check out with them.

imho i'm actually very pleased with their service.

it's a nice place to just hang out and chill.

was also informed that there will be a gathering on x-max eve for BBQ and drinks..

anyone keen?

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

My Toys:

Harley XR1200

CB400-V-tec III (served me well )

Streetfighter S ( never felt better! )

well just drop by today to check out on my bike,

was shocked to see 12 bikes in the workshop..

some of them are even doing a full make over.. O.O

seems like they are being the people's choice now i guess..

even a road king which just got into an accident went over..

well yes they do sell accessories & also make pre orders

the shop really looks professional now.. if you been to motoworld basement,

you see tons of stuffs..yea that kinda concept..

& they even have a proper catalog for you to choose for pre orders..

etc, drag performance, custom chrome...and so on..

p.s. i spent almost 30 mins just viewing the catalog

and im so confused as there is a hell lot of selections..

hmmm anyone going to make an official gathering or something?

riding alone really is boring..

Letting go the following:

Bike Make - XR1200 / XR1200X

Model - TITANIUM Termigoni Slip Ons

Price - a mere $500.

Details:

- the Termi stickers had been removed as i would not want to attract unwanted attention

leaving the strong impression that it looks stock as if the bike comes with it.

( of cos you can always purchase the stickers back if you want from the distributor in sg )

- A brand new one cost at least $1.4k or 1.6k?++ ( forgot the price )

- It comes with removable buffers

- Definitely Lighter than the current stock ones.

- Definitely a head turner for the sound

- Insert the buffers / slincer or what ever u guys call it to make it slightly softer..

though it's still loud...lol.

Regards,

Fred 9272-9088
