Come to think abt it, the weak version does sound abit screaming eagle-ish, sharper bass.

Sadly a buddy of mine (on a ducati) got caught day before yesterday for his pipes.

The LTA guy was apparently a tight ass. Took his license and IC, straight to LTA.

Was at Harley earlier on, popped in to shield from the rain. The sales guys told me that apparently Akrapovic for sporters are in the process of getting approved.

From what i understood, the baffle or DB-Killer is located at the rear end of the muffler and creates the opportunity of getting removed. Hence, they are in the process of reviewing it and working out a solution.

 

Like James, im slowly warming up to it. So i can ride with peace. It sounds rather weak tho.

Was driving today and a LTA crap stopped beside me. Kns that thing looked like a kid on the huge Vfr... Wondered if he managed to complete sec sch before coming out to act smart and catch bikers...

Are those LTA guys on Super 4 and MP3 authorized to enforce the modification rules? Or are they just there to assist road users? Curious about that ....

I think all those are to assist road users. The ones in the vests with 'LTA Enforcement' wording at the back enforces on illegal parking, bus lanes, driving against flow of traffic for a short distance IN carpark (yes my friend kena) and the likes. The ones on Diversions and VFRs enforce on modifications, like aftermarket handgrips, chrome too clean, engine oil too thick or change too often thereby causing danger to other road users, brake fluid not correct colour kinda of stuff...oh ya and exhaust, handlebars seats, mirrors too.

 

 

edit: Oh apparently they have officers on Super 4 to enforce on illegal mods now as well. Wow.

If they are really anti-aftermarket parts that are not factory fitted.. theoretically speaking all bikes fitted with Givi box are illegal mod then? haha or there's somewhere stated its legal?

the laws against modifications r purposely made so vague so that they can bend it to their advantage when necessary... sad...

Agree... Don't bother to try and think of proper reasoning with them.... They are too stupid to understand... I kept them in my prayers everyday and hope for them to get into accidents, lost a limb or two, because some dumb driver didn't know they are beside them due to their soft exhaust or blown light bulbs..... Can't wait to see them lying on the road like bugs on the windscreen!

I was told that it is illegal to even change my signal lights to those Oxford LED ones, which are supposed to improve visibility.nsp we all have to live with big and bulky OEM signal lights?!!?

u r right. Lta will say Sg daylight hours longer n street lamp got alot so u don't need more visibility. It didn't cross their learned minds that we buy big bikes so we can travel to Malaysia Thailand n beyond. They really shouldn't allow people who have no passion for anything in life to run the show.

Really CCB .. GET SOME REAL RIDERS INTO THEIR ORGANIZATION SO THAT THEY CAN SET THE APPROPRIATE RULES INSTEAD OF USING THEIR BLOODY IMAGINATION!!

to know whether they can summon you on 'illegal' mods, see their plate will do.. if it is LTA XXXX, then yes they are the LTA outriders..

 

if their plates are those FBX XXXX, then those are sub-contractors by cisco, etc..
