Greetings everyone, was wondering if anyone has come across some thing like this.

 

I noticed oil seeping from the plug in the primary on the left, so i put a piece of paper overnight to see how much oil was seeping and from where.

 

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Is the maintenance comparable to a Class 2 Jap Sports Bike? Or much more expensive?

 

Never had a class 2 jap bike. The heritage is my 1st class 2. Svcing wise, well depends on who u send it to. I send to Iskandar. Very Reasonable.

Primary. It's either the gaskets or the plug not tightened properly. small issue. primary oil abit low also nevermind one. just top up (not too much though) until it gets fixed.

Dear all, newbie here, got a question to ask you guys.

I can hear 2 very light bee sound when I start the engine (fatboy), the engine will start normally. this not happening everyday.

I tot its maybe fob's battery low, but it happen again after 2 days I change the brand new 2032 battery.

 

any souls there facing same situation before, and how to solve this.

Believe yours should be fuel injected. The sound is the priming of the fuel pump. You should wait til the sound goes off before starting your bike, as with all fuel injected bikes.

I think you need to elaborate more on the 'bee' sound. exactly when does it happen? What patt87 is describing is the sound of the fuel priming...which I'm not too sure is what you are referring to....

 

Is it a mechanical sound? Electronic sound? Happens right after you turn the ignition? During cranking or after cranking and engine is idling?

Hi,havent started my bike for almost a yr,charged batt,started,running ok,rev up 3k rpm, 1st stage(i think u call it that) exhaust went red hot, is it normal? Nvr noticed it like dat b4.

Maybe perhaps engine oil low.. Pipe blockage.. Air filter chocked..

Patt, if its a minor drip my guess its the inner primary seal that leak and a lot of labor to reach that seal. i switch from synthetic to harley oil on my dyna and the leak stopped, might be the lower vicosity but it worked for me.

Hi Guys, I just got an old FLSTC in Singapore.

 

I used to ride a Fatboy in 1993 and have been riding Harleys and still own Roadkings, sportsters and older vintage Harleys.

 

I do not go to the dealership to install stuff and I have a lot of Kuryakyn, Vance and Hines, and other parts, wonder if there is an alternative place to install and are parts and labor generally expensive in Singapore? The cost of Harleys here seem a little high in the dealership, compared to the US and UK
