The Ducati Owners Club Singapore will be having a Memorial Ride this Sunday, Dec 6, 2009. Meetup at Newton Hawker Center carpark at 9:00am for a 9:30am push-off.

The ride will be about 1.5 hrs in Singapore ending at the Changi Chapel and Museum. Lunch will be at Changi Village

The event is not just about DUCATI but it’s about MOTORCYCLING and the joy and the risk involved with the activity.

Is this the club that we filled in the forms at the BBQ?

Your carb settings are out of sync. Soot = Rich air/fuel mixture.

i've been told that timing belt cost about S$150/- to replace ...

is that for both or for one?

just paid S$120x2 = S$240 exclude labor for timing belt ..

is that about correct

That is about correct. Ducati members get 15% off or is it 10%? Labour to change the belt should actually coincide with a full service for vale adjustment. Easier to keep track of maintenance. Every 5K km change oil, 10K km change oil, spark plugs and valve clearance without belt change (a.k.a full service without belt change), 15K km change oil again, 20K km full service (same as 10K km) but with belt change. Then cycle continues.

If stingy on service, you will forget when you did what. If belt snaps, wheel locks you may buang. Hospital fees = high + damage to bike. Poor oil change intervals, valve seals, valve rocker arms, piston rings, crankshaft bearings spoil. Whit smoke from exhaust. $few K.

Battery dun check and change acc to manufacturer, may overcharge and explode on riding, sulfuric acid damages frame, wire harness, jeans and leg.

Actually same care as all other bike you ride. If you dont go to Minerva, your labour for all these is not $60/hr + GST. That is if your ride is not under warranty anymore. :)

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

what pissed me off most was he wagged the middle finger at me, still at reckless speed. Hope it isnt one of our regulars. Not sure if angmo or local.

Guys, I passed my 2A a few days back and have visited several shops in Singapore to find a second hand monster400! SADLY, none have it... Does anyone know of any shop with the bike? OR even better is there anyone who is thinking of letting go their prized possession?

If anyone can help me that would be really great :)

Cheers

anyone tried mounting one of those S4 belly pan on a Duke?

those made specially for Ducati cost way too much ...

Bbelly pans are pretty standard; matter of drilling the appropriate holes for mountin,

problem is knowing where to mount to?
