My experience at a bike shop in Kelantan Lane.

Dear all,

 

Let me relate my experience at a very popular bike shop in Kelantan Lane.

I went there to buy a racing footrest (rearset) for my Honda Nsr 150 Sp.

A lady attended to me and I asked for a SILVER OR CHROME set.

Lady says "yes ok,that's available.$ 75 please." I promptly paid the $75.

After a long wait she comes back with a BRONZE coloured set and tells me that silver or chrome not available,while PRACTICALLY SHOVING this set into my arms.

She starts babbling saying it's a better quality set than what I paid for,different brand,better brand etc.

I stand my ground and say "NO, kindly return my money please."You do not have what I paid for.

AGAIN I'm asked to wait while they call about 10 other shops trying to get what I want.

(Like it's so hard to just refund my $.)

Eventually,the guy boss (with the funny voice) says "no,don't have. Whole Singapore don't have that color."

"You take this bronze one la,very nice color,better brand,bla,bla,bla,

AGAIN I SAY "NO!PLEASE RETURN MY $"

Then the guy boss says " ok la, you take the bronze I give you for $55" :mad::mad: What kind of idiot does he take me for ????!!!!

He knows me a regular client and so does the lady,yet they charged me $ 75 for a as they claim "lower quality" footrest ????

Because they have now offered me a supposedly better one at $55 ??

Better or not,to me it's all gone sour.

I really cannot believe anything they say anymore,keep twisting n turning like eels in a bucket.

That is the last I will EVER patronize that shop.

Oh,I just asked for my $ and left. From the look of anger on my face they also didn't say much just refund me.

 

So ladies and gentlemen,please feel free to comment on this unpleasant experience of mine.

Most bikers knows the rules of engagement for LAB and Regina. Impt thing is to know exactly what you want and the market price before jumping into a deal.

Guess a lot of Bo chap customers goes to LAB n that's make him in biz till now....

I also think most customers will say ok lor bronze also can as long got discount ... No?

Sounds like they pull that off on everyone else as well. For all we know, they were talking blanking on the phones. There was once I heard that they were talking with the phone being disconnected from the line. What a joke.

- Bo chap or not they have lost a REGULAR customer..and I'm sure I'm not the only one:angry:

 

-Depends also on the customer,if they are adamant then most prob no:deal:..Can still get discount on the actual item u want so why accept something else?:nono:

 

And I hv bought numerous items from them over the years without any of this nonsense.

I have no reason not to trust them and withhold payment till I see the item.

It's a simple 75 buck transaction,not some million dollar cocain deal.

 

They are running a legal,licensed business.

Not some drug dealers in a crack house .

One would expect a certain degree of honesty and Ethics especially being in business as long as they have.

Well it's regulars like the OP that keep shops like these in business. If you want the want the lowest possible prices, you'll have to "pay" in other ways, like customer service and reliability.

I just buy there when I'm looking for cheap crap that has no point being expensive like handle bars, bar ends, mirrors and cheapo everyday helmets, pillion helmets heeheee....even then I don't let their mechanic fix stuff on the bike. If I wanted racing footrest, I'd buy the real deal or go JB for small bikes.
