Hopefully, it's nothing serious, yesterday checked again, rotated while on Neutral but stop after the RPM when down, don't know if this is normal, anyone experienced any differences do let me know

 

Other than the following 4 Types of tires any one else had tried other new tires,

 

1. MICHELIN PILOT POWER 2 CT
   
2. MICHELIN MACADAM 50
   
3. BRIDGESTONE BT 020
   
4. METZELER 'ROADTEC Z6'

need to change tires very soon, need some opinions on others or perhaps

I tried BT021 and Z6 on my FJR previously.

 

BT021 good for corning.

 

Z6 very hardy, long-lasting road tires good for touring... I went up Hatyai on Z6, came back, the tires looked like nothing have been done on them like that... hahaha...

For the past 1 year, i've been using BT 020.

CHanged both sets of tyres twice, due to me constantly touring up and down.

The front wear out much faster, not ideal for touring and dun feel good while cornering. but this is juz my 2 cents.

 

Juz recently changed to Dunlop SportMax ZR17 which costs mi quite a bomb as compared to BT. Currently monitoring this tyres lah.

Actually, I think its a computer mock-up cause the front cowling, IMO, looks like a BMW's and the exhaust looks like the Concours 1400.

Though BT021 is really good but front tyre tends to really wear off faster while back still cantik!

heard its bcoz of ABS function where the brakes are pressured on the Right side first and then both sides and this prevents jamming the brakes. IMO..

Bring bike to main stand can be mastered after a few trys.

 

I personally feel that doing a U-turn at a traffic light WITHOUT doing a "Flinestones" is hard to master. Try U-turning WITHOUT doing a "Flinestones".

 

Maybe I am a real lousy rider.

Sorry, I ma not very sure with the exact price of Z6, cos when I changed them in April last year.

 

Cos I changed them at the bike-shop that I buoght my 2nd hand FJR, and my friends and I know the boss...

 

So he offered me a rock-bottom price cos at that time, I just bought my 2nd hand FJR from him S$19.5K OTR...

well basically IMO,the batt is located on the right side panel..

usually bike's batt is located at the center of the bike frame but for FJR its a bit diff.

also ABS do play a part coz when braking, it brings the braking pressure to the right then as a whole so as to prevent brake locking.due to this u will experience uneven tyre balding on the right after a few months of riding..well, tats how ABS works in summary.

 

after ur 1st tyre change it will be better though..just a 2 cents thought.
