I guess the biggest difference between 03 and 04 is ABS

Another thing will be the bike's weight..

 

04 and below all super light but older technology lah..

 

05 onwards, heavy but wif more modern technology.

Cos i saw a shop selling FJR with FZ plate.. not sure wat year is dat and selling at 15k machine price...

FZ plate should be registered in 2005

Was reading the User manual and found out that the fairing can be adjusted to fit various riding condition. On page 3-24 of the manual for model 2006. Was wondering if location 1 or 2 is more suitable for singapore riding? Have attached the pages in this post.

Yup, can be adjusted.. it all depends on individual's liking.. If u dun like it, can close it anytime coz is juz 2 quick release screw..

my is the '04 model with ABS. actually all the same ones. you won't need the heated grips or the seat & handlebars adjustabilies unless u are a little short. get those '03 models and before. these will cost a lot cheaper.

Bro, the hinges are okay, but both the inside n outside of the box is cracked, tat they can do as well? If tat's the case, its really a miracle.

Bro, the hinges are okay, but both the inside n outside of the box is cracked, tat they can do as well? If tat's the case, its really a miracle.

 

bro go to motortiam and just ask them to re fiber yr side box.. its better then geting new ones and i also think its very difficult ppl selling the side box..

 

if there are any zamani will long time grab it...

 

if u realy keen in getting one surf the e bay there are ppl selling only side box...

currently dalam "pantang larang"..

although i dun believe such things, its just safer to be safe than sorry..

maybe after june can start goin north..

Thanks bro, i have actually went to mototiam n ask about the repair, only to find out tat actually one of the "hook" on the box has cracked. bike shop said cannot access from inside, so its hard to repair, can only use putty n patch from outside. Sadly, only a days time, the crack is back, guess the adhesive cannot stand the vibrations n the load on the box. Looks like looking for a secondhand box is the only way out.
