If you are referring to the normal servicing, I normally change my Engine Oil (EO) every 5,000km +/- a bit, max it's 6,000km.

Every TWO EO change, change your oil filter.

For spark plugs, think can change every 10,000km or more. (Not very sure on this part, perhaps the "old birds" here can re-confirm.)

If you are talking about the top-over-haul and valve clearance, I did it for my ex-ride at around 35,000+km, and the mechanic said it will last me for around another 50,000km.

For the timing chain and tensioner, do go for "tightening" (until the timing chain can no longer be "tightened", then change it to a new one.) as and when you can hear loud "tia tia" sounds.

If wanna change the timing chain, might as well change the tensioner together, so that you know you have changed both and used both for the same period of time.

DO NOT take the "tia tia" sounds as a small matter, want to save money and ignore it. Once the timing chain snaps inside.............. you can go ask Cryptic about it....

Apologise if these are not what you are asking for in your question.

"tia tia" bro? when idling issit? some sort of ticking? i think i experienced on my older bike before..

Yes, it is some sort of the "ticking" sound.

I used to hear it even when I was riding my ex-Fabulous-Joy-Ride on the move, besides during the idling when we just started our machine and also when stopped at traffic lights.

But I am not sure of the rest of the riders here.

However, do go check it out whenever you hear some "ticking" sound, esp when it gets louder and louder after a while.

For if one ignores it, the timing chain may snap inside and cause more damages to the interior and the damages will definitely cost a few more times than the original amount of few hundreds dollars which one is trying to save initially by not checking and changing the timing chain and tensioner.

Just my 0.00000000000000002 cents worth.

A loose timing chain will produce a "kiak kiak" sound...

A higher pitch ticking sound comes from the valve stem and valve guides... Its a common issue among Gen 1 bikes.

No choice, much as I want to keep my power ride, my family commitments, new HDB + renovations kicks in...

I have no choice but to push back my Viffer very reluctantly.

Last time, can only manage a "around 14km/L FC" with my Viffer for city riding...

With my "small lamb" now, can manage around 24km/L FC for city riding...

I wish I could, but no point riding a "big cow" as a daily transport...

windshield sold.

Muzzy radiator fan is made of Aluminum. bigger blade and more tilt. so to pump more hot air out. the original plastic one, if too hot might warp and it does not push as much hot air out. using this fan i can actually see the temp bar drop from 4 bars to 3 bars. when the fan turns, u can immediately feel that the hot air coming out is much stronger.

wat model u riding?
