I had tot abt it, den did some research on the overseas FJR threads.. most of them advise against it cos it could overload the wiring n burn it..

Anyone here replaced the 3A with a 10A before? any feedback? If dat wiring burn, big prob ar.. blardy thing connected to the harness..

my '04 FJR didn't have the 12V socket. i added in myself. use to light ciggy & tire compressor, every other day for a year no prob at all.

Bro, u prolly used a thicker gauge wire for your DIY socket right? But the stock wiring in DaBonz case, izit thick enough to carry that amount of current?

@Kazky - u changed the fuse for ur stock socket without alterations to ur stock harness, can tahan?

oh yeah forget to mention i changed the socket as well..i used the marine type coz i relocate it to the outside rather than in the panel. As for the wiring, i saw the mech changed it but to me i see the thickness is the same as stock coz the new socket i installed does not come with the wires.

But to use the air compressor is only during emergency and it won't be that long anyway only for few minutes. Have used it a couple of times but so far so good..

Other than that, my GPS using the socket works out fine.

after further research, changing the fuse to a 10amp is out of the question. I'm gonna install another socket from the battery and mount it under the seat. Might head down to mteknik or someplace and have them do it. My wiring skills are crap.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.:thumb:

I asked motormorld about two brothers pipe before. They said its not LTA compliant because of the word 'RACING' on the pipe. Racing = loud DB, non steet legal use etc. Bro. just get a legal pipe. If not, you cannot ride peacefully in Singapore road. If you are involved in a traffic accident, there may be other complicated issues at hand.

Unless your FJR is only meant for malaysia ride. Then all is cool.

U have a cert with it right? See whether if its approve for FJR. Where u get the pipe from? Can try asking the shop, prolly motoworld. Its not legal as long as it hasn't pass inspection.

Thanks Buddy, I guess I'll hold off for now!:faint:

it must be certifed by law or Lta. They test by the db n emission of the pipe. Some of the pipe sound may be loud but db is low. N need a 3rd party lab to justify so called cert to prove that this is street legal for this particular bike model then when send for inspection. Their side must have record of this cert whether is it approved or not. Very fussy on the proccess normal when buy the pipe just ask whether is it street legal or not will be easy

Thanks for the info mate! Now I keep my quiet stock pipes for some more time, till I find "certified" pipes. Darn it o_O

nolah, not tank bra. its small leather paddings which goes at the inner thigh area on the tank.

btw, if any of you guys intend to get tank bras, i saw just now at motoworld kaki bukit, they're selling the bras at $99, nt the usual 100+. oh, and i saw only one fjr bra so far. didn't bother to search to see if there's more. :thumb:

bro..

if a pipe is fix to another bike, u will need to go inspection at Vicom or STA..

ONLY if the pipe stays on the same bike(same chassis/engine) u don't need to go for inspection..eventhough u have a new license plate..

the inspection(s) history will follow the bike..therefore no need to go 2nd time inspection.

from words of mouth, STA more lenient for pipe inspections..

the cost will be $78..

i just experience this yesterday...

so maybe u can try ur luck on ur busa blue flame exhaust..

just my 2ct contribution...
