You can always ask them to settle the outstanding summons as a form of neg.. You can always trust Loois as they will not take in 'lemon'. Price is a bit high but I'm sure there's always a room for neg.

Cheers.

Thanks again for responding....anyway, went down Loois again today and tried to negotiate the price...but he firmly stick to his $20500 OTR... My fren told me that the price is high partly due to the number plate... geez..that's something i not really particular with... but if he add another 1k + just for that number plate i also think it's not worth for it..might as well wait for next offer... but to see a 2nd hand fjr with ABS on sale is quite rare at this moment... dunno will regret or not if i choose to let this go...haiz...

I went to Looi's motor this evening.. Took the lift up to the 3rd level (Used bike dept). Saw the used bike that you mentioned. Initially, I thought it was a new bike waiting for his new owner.

The condition is really mint acceptable. Paint works looks new. I asked Ahmad, ( used bike in charge). Apparently, they isn't any accident during the previous ownership, only toppled once on the left side only.

I will say the price is reasonable and fair if you like the registration number and the ABS specification. Last but not least, It is the same specification as the 2005 model..

Just my 2 cents worth! :cheer:

My understanding from Hong Leong is the security system can only recognise max of 1 red key and 2 black keys. So you actually wont be able to duplicate more.

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

The reason the bike shop keep the spare key is because they will use it to tow your bike in the event of default of installment. This is the "market practice" among the hire purchase company..

This afternoon went to Seng Kwang to fabricate a larger footprint for my bike's side stand, have wanted to do it but keep puting it back to another day.

Feels so good to have it done at last, costing me $30 bucks but the satisfaction of not having to worry that the side stand will sink into the asphalt when I put it down is good. Don't have to look for a soft drink can to flatten and slip under the stand anymore.

Met a fellow FJR rider just before I left that place, he came in to collect his pannier box. His box was vandalised/broken in by an idiot and Seng Kwang managed to redo his locking device for I think $120 each. The job done by Seng Kwang is good, the boss ask me to pull at it to test it's strength. I could not move the plastic flap even with both hands pulling. I am impressed, now at least I know that something can be done if our pannier box is damaged.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.
