Hi bros, my buddy juz sold his 08 FJR Black to Loois today, bike shud b up for sale by nxt wk.. Mileage is less than 50,000km n bike is in good condition n accident free.. Front springs n rear shocks already upgraded to OHLINS.. Basically its a trouble free bike n he had maintain it religously.. Sold it to shop coz he didnt want to wait for buyer as he's upgrading to another bike...

Omg so new model ? How much u got it for ? Hmm if this carry on for long I think maybe I will just buy a 2b bike to ride .. Feel helpless without a bike need to be a sardine to work

 

Waited to wait for the 2012 model... but they say it is the same... so in the end, my heart cannot wait... so went on to get the '11 model.

 

Just be patience awhile... I am sure there will be one for you.

Juz my 2 cents - If u dun have enuf budget to get big cc bike, my advise is better dun coz u will end up having difficulty.. Especially if ur getting a used bike... Yup its cheaper than brand new but e condition of e bike is subjective.. Besides e downpayment that u have set aside, u nd to have at least 1k on standby in case there's problem to e bike in few months having it.. Depends on mileage n how e previous owner taking care of it, things like coil, rectifier, starter motor, magneto, battery etc. can kaput anytime.. Whether bike have done e valve clearance, change of tensioner n timing chain oso nd to take into considerations.. Dats is y i kp e maintenance history (receipts) of my bike so that in future if i decide to sell, i can advise e buyer accordingly.. In doing appraisal of a bike that interest u, get a friend whom have good experience n knowledge bout bikes ( n i mean real knowledge n not by reading e internet those kind of thingy)..

thanks for the advice..... but wad i mean my budget is that i already considering that i will service once i get the bike.... think i should loan around 3k or 4k depend on the machine price so should be quite comfortable =) wad i afraid is the road tax after the 10 year renew coe cause as time goes by it will increase by 50% more

Why sell ? How much u sell which model ??

 

 

mine was 08 model but reg 09. mileage when sold was less the 30000. i sold for 19.5k. with lotsa accessories. i rode it for 9 months. it was a very nice bike. it has the technology that wins even a car. stability at high speed is good so is cornering. riding with pillion is effortless, given the high torque..

 

for the full 9 months, i waited 2 months for tank bra. another one month for leo vince exos n head lamp protector.every month mileage is less then 800km.

 

i got mine previously from loois . sometimes u hav to been really patience to source for a good 2nd hand FJR. and if u r on a budget..i rather you not hav it. buying a near 10yrs or a renew one bound to hav problems sooner or later..10yrs old might be cheaper but if u factor in all other costs i rather you get a new one.

 

for me i just happen to spotted it at loois n wrote a cheque and booked it.
