Hi Seniors FJRians

 

I have a problem, my speedometer backlight is not lighted , so at night i cant really see clearly what speed i travelling as no back light.guess the bulbs below blowed. Anyone encounter this before and i heard if need to replaced the bulbs need to remove alot of things. i thought change LED but not sure can be done or not.. Any place recommend to repair my backlight? Don want anyhow go ask any bike shop wait more problems encountered.

 

Not an expert but maybe you should check the fuse first cause easier to change (it's located near the battery). Otherwise any reputable bike workshop should be able to help change bulb. If you want to change to LED, it may be too bright for a backlight but you can discuss with this guy Dennis HP 90813808 who is quite good. He did a lot of LED mods for bikes n cars (including mine).

As I am planning to go with FJR1300 after selling my naked bike. Could you please comment how easy it is to ride FJR through the Singapore traffic at peak hours. I generally use the bike to go to my work place, when ever possible.

Hi to all seasoned Fjarian,

I was thinkg of getting FJR1300'13 model. Han been to Yama HL. They said it'll comes with 'Standard' accessories. So if I were to ask for 'freebies', what are the necessary additional accessories would u guy go for. The reason I ask is becos sometimes aftr u buy te buy e then u realise eh I need this crashbar or spotlight or etc..etc (for example). Obviously FJR doesnt need those things la. But what do u guy add-on onto ur bike that u guy find u should have those things? Appreciate any suggestions & ideas frm ppl who rode the bike hemslve.

You can ask for headlight covers. Replacing a headlight cracked by a pebble from a passing truck will not be very cheap.

I only surveyed at Yamie HL and got a price-list from them. As our fren quoted above, mach price + insurance abt 34K. I believe other bike shops can offer much cheaper. I didn't check on the clutch thing, cos I just went there to see the bike & get the price-list.

You can gv them a call. I was there browsing around when someone call the showroom and made enquiry abt the bike too.

The bike is 'NIIICE'..... Thinking of letting go my FZ1 and grab FJR13...
