FJR1300 - Supersport Touring Perfection

For 2006, listening to FJR owners has led to a tremendous amount of refinement for rider and passenger alike. New airflow management works to keep both the rider and the bike cooler and more comfortable, while adjustable seat, handlebars, windscreen and middle fairing make it easy to find the perfect position. New bodywork, lights, mirrors and instrumentation raise the level of quality, and a new fuel-injection system and unified brake system with standard ABS add to the FJR’s exceptional functionality.

Electrically adjustable windscreen with greater range of adjustment for improved wind protection

High-quality instrumentation with integrated gear indicator

Adjustable seat, handlebars and middle cowling

New, standard ABS system with unified braking system

Sleeker, slimmer overall profile

New airflow management system and heat shielding

12V power outlet

Cobalt Blue

I think Yamaha is listening to feedback from users and finally doing something to improve their product

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

After many manhours spent and running around, I have managed to get 28 pieces on our Mass Order. Due to the unique design and high comsumption of multiple colours, the manufacturer has agreeded to extend to us on S$27 per piece inclusive of 5% G.S.T. For future similar design order, it will be lower.

The per piece price may be slightly out of my initial budget, as they are using premium 100% grade cotton Polo T. Secondly, our requirement on multiple Bike colours. Come to think of that, this is a very exclusive piece of work that many hours have been put in.

Can i have you guys to give me the green light to proceed? If No, Please quote and indicated a "No" beside your order and I will opt you out.

I need your kind answer by 7th Sept 2005. Thanks and ride safe all!

First, u need to let ur uncle sign an authorisation letter, saying he allow u to ride the bike to thailand from this date to this date etc. (put in all the particulars, IC, license plate etc)

Den, u bring copies of the LOG CARD. But the copies must have a chop to show that it is authentic. U can go LTA or any respectable motordiams to chop for u.

U can bring the true copy if u wan but not necessary if u do the above.

The insurance u can buy when u reach the Thai immigration checkpoint. One of the very last few stops in Malaysia oso got sell. This insurance is like a third party insurance in case you hit someone or sth in Thailand. Although our insurance got cover till 80km beyond Malaysia, the thai police wont release you till the case is settled. With this insurance, the settlement is much faster.

I've been there only once and in no way a lao jiao. Thats all about i can think of. Anyone care to add in what i've missed out or got it wrong?

One more thing. There is this form that u will be asked to sign. Its a proof that you rode ur bike into thailand. U will be given a carbon copy of the form. DO NOT lose that piece. I repeat, DO NOT.

Who u gg with btw? Sure got some experienced riders ya?

just to add, if you're just heading to Hatyai then insurance wont be necessary but you can still buy 1 if u wanna. Normally, i'll skip that.

But the most important thing to remember is that dont forget to return the blue(was it blue???) form for your vehicle permit when you heading back to m'sia and sign out your name on the prepared log book(both at Thai border).

If you missed on the above, you'll be fine the next time you enter Thailand.

Last but not the least, say 'sawadekaaap' to the immigration officers....hehhehe

correct me if any of the above procedures not updated.....

njoy your ride....

That's true.. The export permit must be surrendered to them. The last time i drove up to Thailand, I was fine 2000 baht for not doing so.

If im not wrong u got to put RM$2 in the passport and pass it to the immigration booth for them to chop. It was a common pratice when i went to thaland in april last year. Even Malaysian walk up to thail also got to pay. U will see their drawer full of money..

As for the things mention above. Its very true not to loss ur document. I lost it when i went to koh samui. And had to make a police report. then the immigrantion will print another docu and keep it to prove u had exit thail with this bike. Ride safe there.. :goodluck:

Only the log card u need to get it chop. U dun need to type it, u get it photocopied. Since its LTA who issued the Log Card, of course they can chop for u.. U just need to bring the original log card along to let them verify... Just tell them u want to certify that ur copies of log card are authentic.

If ur bike under hire/purchase, u can get the motordiam to chop for you...

The insurance not too ex.. Cant rmb how much.. ~SD$10-20..

And TAKE NOTE of what Teamln has said in his Sep 7 2005, 01:29 AM post.

Disagree with that. The only thing the STX looses out on is speed and torque.

Handling is similar, maneuverability is actually superior due to the STX's extremely low centre of gravity... Fuel tank is below...
