The honda oil filter fit the Zed, ex owner already using the honda oil filter so I just bought the honda one, heard yamaha oil filter, cheaper, will fit but to be confirm.

Confirmed can use Honda, but the height is a little different. If I remember corrrectly, Honda one a little shorter, less filter element??? Kawa parts very ex compared to others. Am using K&N filter, still cheaper than kawa OEM oil filter.

Just DIY engine oil and filter change last week with Carlube 10W40 fully syn engine oil, it cost only $8.90 per litre at Giant Hypermart which is SL grade and meet Jaso MA standard. Our bike only requires SJ.

The engine and gears transmission feels smooth and engaging neutral is easy after changed. :thumb:

4L Engine oil =$35.6

Honda oil filter made in USA(FJT) = $15, will try LAB Honda oil filter next time

Used only 3.3L of oil (oil filter changed), will change the oil every 5000km.

I have also used Carlube engine oil for my car and drive up to 7,000km and the car still feels smooth. Used carlube engine oil was also sent by sgcarforum member to U.S lab for analysis and result was ok.

Weird thing is on mutiple bikes (1000cc) and using multiple engine oils (full syn), I started to feel the bike being rough round 2000km. Then it'll smoothen out until 3000km or so, it'll get rough again. All this within a few months of constant usage (this is my transport). Anyone experience something similar? I'm tempted to try using cheap syn oil and change it more often (2000km instead of 4000km).

I buy the oil seal and 15w oil and let bike shop change, workmanship only $20, can save about $20.

PM me an offer for my Z1 front end and save yourself tthis agony :)

My colleague using just mineral oil for his 2A chopper for 13 years and the bike is still running fine but he changed the oil regularly. I don;t see how Carlube fully syn oil can be worst off than the mineral oil. Furthermore if you intend to change oil every 2000km, , its even more worthwhile to use carlube.

I read the head faring also need to change as the Z750 fitting are different from Z1000, its going to be a costly mod for the front end swap. I think I will just stick to stock, anyway I found the fork oil seal from ebay which is quite cheap, US$15 for a pair.

Had a good ride up to Skudai Motormatic Bike shop with Is and Sai. The mechs over there are very knowledgeable about Kawa stuffs. Singapore mechs absolutely can't beat them. Their workmanship first class, tip top! Kudos to them!

$18K?? That's dirt cheap!! Do they have any at Looi now?

BTW what is the difference between the 2010 and 2011 version? Apart from the cosmetics? I actually prefer the black/silver colour theme of the 2010 model ..

Evershine quoted me $18k for machine price. deposit 5K. delivery july

Looi quoted me $20.5k. deposit 500. delivery Oct.

Both without ABS.

Hi bro, how much for ABS?

machine price of 18k was one year ago. Now in good demand, the merchants became greedy.

anyway, i miss wildcard.

Ok I just came back from Looi. $27K OTR. They all come with ABS. I wanna order last year's model because I prefer the colour and golden exhausts. But no more already :(

price wise, there is room for negotiation....

Since your friend bought just enjoy the ride... Is one of the few fun class 2 bikes to ride on the road.

Well I got mine at 26.5k OTR....

The cornering is good, handling also good, but just be watchful of the fuel gauge cause it can drop from 3/4 tank to 1/4 or so... But once u get the hang of it u will know wat to do.

Secondly the suspension on the rear is kind of hard maybe can do some adjustment and the ride is prefect....

anyway, i miss wildcard.
