Hah hah, I thought mine was the only weird one.

BTW, folks who have the gen 1 bike, can you help measure the Kawasaki decal on the tank and give me the dimension. The height and total length.

I want to replace mine with an OEM decal.

Tried ebay? should be quite ex to get from agent... My current bike is using sticker... i just went to auntie shop w dimension and got them to go reflective 3M quality... cheaper and nicer than OEM...

That sounds good. Now I just need the dimensions. You remember the size? And how much you paid for the 2 stickers?

Time for an upgrade... with some luxury..

With this bike, no tools needed for adjusting for suspension settings (with pillion, rider alone, or with luggage)

All is done with DES (Ducati Electronic Suspension).

Despite the keyless ignition, even if you lose your keys overseas, you can just key in a pin number to unlock and ride the bike back home.

4 selective riding modes ranges 100-150bhp

Rated as a better tourer and/or advernture bike than the legendary GS.

Start salivating...

Hey bros,... I'm due for an oil change soon for my 1098s... any particular oil u guys would recommend?

I thought of trying Motorex from sporting motors... they fill the engine oil from the barrel. If not, I might also try OEM Shell Advance Ultra or Motul 300V...

Let's hear it...

Now I'm using the Mobil fully syn 4T 10W40, $18 per quart, bought at MXtradings.

Its the smoothest oil I have tried so far, at the below $20 range.

Hello jtjagan,

While it is good to get a sports bike, the comfort and relax position of riding a Z1000 is incomparable...i.e. when stuck in traffic jam or weaving through traffic.:)

Agreed,... I forgot how to ride a bike with my back straight, and knees at a relaxed 90°

I was checking the other thread on the Z1000SX... any update on availability and OTR price?

I saw a black SX on the road last weekend with panniers. Nice.

In traffic i still prefer my gixxer among all. N high speed comfort also sport bike win. But the ninja is way more jialat la posture wise.
