For me i dun mind the wait,i do came across some arsess that rode a 2b bike,and unhappy with his service,for wat i can tell,if you wait for him patiently,he will confirm do his best for your bike.be it if you lost his temper,he is just the same old funny joker man,i do even now patronise his shop for parts,even my frens are amazed btw he DIY things that you can't imagine.Swell guy he is .

The longer you know Ah Chong, the longer you need to wait.

 

very true...muz sometimes help him out to clear the backlogs like those only changing engine oil, so the rest of the mechs are properly utilised doing other things even more productive.....

u wanna do normal 2b overhaul look for china guy, he has mellowed from the time he started working till now, not so reckless anymore....

 

2a and above look for ah peng

the new guy seems pretty competent on bikes w/o any input from chong, only changing those that are required, or specified by customer, he should be the one to watch out for now....

However, through my past 2 visit there within 1 week.. maintain by one guy.. so far.. quite disappointed.. my bike is ALWAYS maintain BY MARK ONLY...

 

Cause.. first time.. change clutch plate.. "scratch" my ferring and insisted that did not scratch it.. sad man.. how i can bump higher den my lower ferrings?

 

second time.. change gasket for my stomach.. my ferring did not insert correctly.. insisted that it's like this one.. reach home.. feel my babe telling me very uncomfortable..

 

open up everything again.. found out that the catch is not attached.. instead, it's being forced to the side.. the rubber thingy almost come off.. heng i check myself..

 

i still love mark.. where is he???!!! haha.. he's better alot compared to most mech.. haix.. however, i guess alot of customers did not went back because mark not there... at the moment..

42nd Time at Planet.

Weather: Fine

 

Went to Planet after work to get a much needed Engine oil change. 2,100km travelled. Planet sure is different with so many mechs coming and going.

 

While waiting, I saw Blackenese riding a Pulsar! He really look like riding electric bicycle!

 

Since there were still quite a few bikes left to service before mine, I opened my laptop to get some work done. SiKaLee this Ah Chong walk over and said "Wait haaah, going to service your bike very soon. Don't go online and scold me hor."

 

NB. This Ah Chong got come online to read one mare?

 

But today got one thing I not very happy is that when I fix on my Stebel horn,

At first I wanted to replace the small horn with the Stebal, but the Mech (San Wei) said it will be too hot and recommended to attach it next to the fins. Alamak! Like that also hot what! Some more people can steal easily. So told him don't want. Then he suggested to put inside the chrome cover, but then changed his mind and said cannot fit after bending the aluminium mounting bar...

I said can, but this San Wei, keep recomending that I put the horn on the crash bar instead, said very pretty, until I quite irritated, because horn can get wet then spoil and cheapo lowlife people will steal, so I told him I fix on myself. (Guess he must be tired and couldn't think of a way to do it.)

 

10 mins of DIY later, I got the horn mounted, wired and nicely concealed inside the chrome cover. The saving grace is that San Wei wasn't offended and even recommended that I put a relay to save battery.

 

Before leaving, I got a bit of glue from Ah Chong to stick back my CooCase logo that has partially come off. Then this Ah Chong made a joke of my other Bike (Suzuki DR) with another customer while I was waiting for the glue to dry, and said it's a BMW but stick Suzuki sticker so that people won't steal. NB, Si Bei the cold joke!

 

Paid the usual $10 for my NASA engine oil. Super glue was free. Yay!

i had went to service at planet today.. changed my front wheel ball bearing and fixed my speedometer.. good and reliable service by ah chong.. =)

Now roadworks going on at the UBI stretch of road in front of the biek shops.

Hope they widen the road, so that can park more bikes easily w/o worrying of blocking the way.
