which tyre do u vote the best all-rounder?

I have used BT020, BT090 and M1 before and all except BT090 failed my expectation during wet ground...

I feel that you shouldn't limit yourself to these choices, there's better tyres for you to explore...

Most importantly to me are the manufactured date, performance during wet ground and also durability.

BT020 has been replaced by BT021

M1 has been replaced by M3

BT090 out of production and therefore last batch of tyres are quite old?

Bro, there are fresh stocks for BT090 tires. The BT090 that we have are manufactured from week 14 - 16 year 2007

I was personally at the launch of M3 last year at Pasir Gudang... Many of our local riders and national level riders were there to review the tires and based on our conclusion that the M3 has indeed succeeded its predecessor M1.

If you are looking for a pair of rubbers that offer you uncompromising grips on dry and wet surfaces, let you enjoy track sessions now and then and doesn't burn a big darn hole in your pocket, you are looking at the M3. And yes, it has indeed a longer life-span than the M1 due to its harder compound used in manufacturing process.

For the roads and occasional track-goers, in Metzeler you trust... :thumb:

Yes you are right. Thats why the M3's compound is hard but not to the extent of compromising grip on the road. The hard compound is more for longer lasting durabilty. I've have my M3 from the first launch til now which is coming to a year [given I seldom ride my bike, only weekends and to the track] and the treads are like still new.... Don't believe? Ask Wildcard, he's seen it with his own eyes. :D

Ride safe! :thumb:

m3 gives u proper grip on dry road given tat the tyre is heated up... meaning tat u hve travelled a distance b4 the grip on the road becomes superb... i used a m3 b4 n it was superb... excellent grip on the road in dry n wet condition... but i crashed my bike on 1 nite after travlling 500m, just came out from my carpark... i jam brake n the bike juz skid which means the tyre is not grippin on the road... no oil or sand on the road... after the crash, checked tat my tyre has a short skid mark... travelling speed was ard 60-70km/h... skid distance is abt 3/4 of a cross junction yellow box... so all those using m3, plz do warm up your tyres 1st b4 u cut corners... safety 1st bros...

Any tyres also need agar agar 5 minutes to warm up, not just M3. Most accidents also happen within the first 5 to 6 minutes of riding, (quote from Street Smart thread), when the mind is not tuned to riding yet, still thinking about work, or home, or thinking about route etc..

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

Yep need balancing bro..S4 is capable of more than 150km/h...wheel balancing is needed for better handling...and also balancing helps the tire to wear properly.. :thumb:

Haiiz the person at unique told me no need balancing..they don't provide balancing .no wonder thier tyres cheap

Bro, just to clarify, wheel balancing is not a 'must have' for bikes because you will not be travelling at speed above 150km/h most of the time.

You will not feel much differences during normal riding unless your rim had been damaged.

Tires replacement + wheel balancing for all your bikes will only incur unnecessary cost to customers.

We usually only recommend class 2 sport bikes owners to do wheel balancing after tires replacement it is important for them as they will be travelling at high speed when in Malaysia.

By the way, our tires are not that cheap either. Quality products comes at a price. We try our best to bring quality products to our customers at reasonable prices.
