Now guys, just a question. My friend is riding a bike under my name & he got into an accident. Will insurance claim from me (since I'm the owner) or he (since he's the sub-rider who's riding & the one who caused the accident)? Cheers.

Are u the main insurance policy holder for the bike which u mention?

 

If u r then,

 

As long as somebody claims against ur insurance, ur premium will be affected. Doesnt matter it's u or ur sub rider riding the bike at the pt of accident..

Hi MC28,

Thanks for the help... I'm not too sure if I'm is considered a main policy holder as it's still under installment. This is because when the insurance company sent me a letter to report the accident, the company adviced the person involved to come down personally to give details... so maybe there is a chance that it will not effect my premium but my sub-rider's. However, whether it's confirmed or not, i still do not know... :giddy:

hi..er i'm about to get my 2b (hopefully) n if i do i'm taking over my fren's TZM..jus add my name as 2nd rider..but wat worries me is the insurance..can anyone advise me from experience how much will i'll be expected to pay when renewing the premium next year march? i'm 23 by the way

See if your friend younger or you younger. NTUC policy is now based on younger age no matter in 1st or 2nd rider. If your friend is registered as rider (age 21) and you (age 23) as 2nd rider, then u have to pay age 21's insurance premium.
