Just got my helix

 

Had starting problems like weak battery symptoms, anyway, bike shop will check it out tomorrow.

Ok, bike starting problems resolved, it was due to rectifier not charging the battery enough. Replaced rectifier problem solved.

 

Anyone know where to get the plastic cover for the speedometer?

Mine has lots of scratches on it.

Problem solved, was due to old battery, new battery works all the time, every time, no more starting up problems.

Currently bike strip to the bone, did a few days of riding.

Had the engine jet wash to look for leaks and was surprised

to find none. It is a 1994 model FL plate with a renewed 10 years

COE. For a 20 odd years bike with a mileage of 200, 000+ km,

It is a damn good scooter for it's age, and seem you can ride it forever.

Did all the oil changes, etc eo, gear oil, and brake fluids. Had the coolant

drained and so on...All done diy just to be sure!
