As above. Any recommendation for reliable car workshops to send my car for servicing? Sick and tired of Shell Autoserv because its using 5W40 Ultra. And don't like C&C cuz its super expensive.

Mine is a Kia Rio 1.5A

Thanx for any contributions. haha... I know where most of the bike workshops are but know nothing about car workshops.

if you're just changing oil then i guess any workshop with the oil you want you can go in and do....

of course choose the best deal lah... haha...

ask the same question in some car forums would yield better results as forumers tend to intro here intro there... and theres like a rapport...

Actually standard Jap and Korean cars, any workshop also can do.

Especially if it is just servicing.

Yes, agree. The thing is we hope people with positive experiences with any particular workshop can intro it to us. There are lots of car workshop in Singaproe and there are definitely some that will over-charge us or give poor workmanship. It will be nice if people with experience can tell us which reliable workshops they go to, so that we can visit them with confidence.

Same as bike workshops mah... standard japanese bike, any bike workshop also can do. But which is a good workshop to go to? which is more honest and reliable?

ANyway, I went to this Autosaver workshop I mentioned in my earlier post. They are pretty decent in terms of workmanship and the prices are transparent (there's a price list for everything). :thumb:

If someone banged your car and created a dent(s)... would you consider this?

Cheap and faster than 'ordinary' workshops. I first heard about this while on holiday in Jakarta.

I've been told this 'ketok magic' is available across the causeway too..

Understand.

USually the bigger establishments will have some pricelist and packages.

standard of service is quite alright. For the smaller individual workshops if you go a few times, the owner might take the effort to remember. IT's about forging a relationship. He helps you by servicing your car well and you help him by giving him business. both parties should have that common understanding.

The best type of workshop is the type which is physically organised and the owner takes a direct interest to serve you and is open to feedback etc. The old style of service and **** off workshops will go bust.

We should take the lead from Japan. Pride in work and professional in attitude

I send my car to JB workshop for servicing. Its call Century tyres. They service my car on the same day whilst i go shopping nearby at lst link. Finish shopping liao can collect my car. Very much cheaper than service in Singapore furthermore mine is an old car.,the old model Honda Civic. If my car breaks down in Singapore bo pian have to send to NTUC delgro cos they have free towing service. They also offer interest free 6 month instalment plan for service above a certain sum.
