They will tell this spoil that spoil need to change that y tuning no good....But before u have no problem riding it...

My friend's Ver S let them tune, tune till fuel comsumtion like 20km/l, said tune for power, tok carp. There is nothing to change how to tune for power.....Then go back a few time also like that, tell u need to change this and that when before go to them, eveything very good.

And they F up my valves clearance which 1 year later I found out.

Monkeys using snap -on tools give peanuts result, this is one damn shop I would avoid....

Actually I was wondering, they knew about bikes?

The VC was done in 7/2003 then I did a VC again on 7/2004. During that time I trusted them, good service blah blah blah.........I did carbs tune and clean 3 times form 3 different shops and spend over $200 for it. One year clean and tune carbs 3 times, who do that?

After passing to my mech, he comment all my exhaust valves no clearnace.Knn then I know this shop cant even do a VC.

Then stories of cuting screws during carbs tuning, honda enginneers stupid meh? I dont understand why peopel can give them cl2 bikes for them to service...

Planet and ubi cycle are good place for tuning which I personally tried them.

UC is just behind planet.

Actually quite simple to find good shops. Those which do bikes servicing only without selling any bikes.

Usually their skills all quite good cos they depend them on living.

Carbs tuning should be simple to them...

Monkeys with snap-on tools pls skip that......

I guess I didnt put any of that shop name, do I?

I am piss off cos those monkeys made mi spend when I was at the poorest part of my life. Student with S4 and a " bank account people will laugh at" and still have to maintain that $500 in that account before bank start collect $2 from u every month.

I still perfer monkeys holding bananas rather than snap-on tools.....

The tuning you guys are talking about is refering to the air/fuel mixture screw which affect the idling and low speed. Normally its factory preset no adjustment is required and you need to have lamda sensor plug into the exhaust to tune.

Normally wash and syn/balance the carb is more than sufficient. If you want to DIY, can get the tool from Morgan Cabrtune II. I wash and balance the carb myself, saves me lots of money. I wash and tune my carbs every 6 months.

there is another tool ... which the so called monkeys with bananas used to adjust the 4 tiny screws below my carb and tell me it is to adjust the air... i oso dunno why they itchy hand go and adjust it for me b4 consulting me... i am really desperate to adjust it back but dunno which shops to go to... i had service my carbs 3 times already for the past 9 months... and i really can't live with a Version S which drinks fuel at 19-23km/litre even when normal riding...... i might as well get a vtec then... cos more power...

You will either have to send it back to Honda servicing centre or other shop with the Lamda sensor to tune it properly.

Or you can try the trial and error method, turn the screw all the way in gently (the screw will break if you turn too hard) and back out 2.5 turns out, then ride the bike to see how it feels. If still not good turn either in or out 1/2 turn. Generally you shouldn't have to turn more than 3.5 turn out.

For Suzuki bikes there is a cap to protect the air/fuel mixture screw at the bottom of the carb, to adjust the mixture screw the cap needs to be drilled off first.

I have the tool for adjusting the screws on the bottom of the carb, its made by motion pro, cost me $69 to ship here from US and I used to own a Gunson digital exhaust gas analyser for analysing the CO level, $250 from UK which I have alerady sold it off. I use this combination to tune my mixture screw on my ex bike.

So there is no need to tune? Or how u adjust the tuning?

How about S4? ANyone knew?

The carbtune looks good and cost about $120 or so. Is a good investment once all my quiries were answered.

The mixture screw is factory preset normally you dont have to tune this screw, so dont itchy hand and go tune it!!

On my ex bike, GSXR750 I tune it because I'm running dynojet on my bike which requires adjustment on the mixture screw, the instruction is to adjust 2.5 turns out but I doesn't like the way the bike runs, so I bought the gunson digital gas analyer and motion pro tool to tune.

The morgan carbtune is for balancing the butterfly valves on the carb only, the purpose is to have equal vacuum across all 4 carbs so that each individual carbs draws in the same amount of air and fuel. If the carb is unbalance, the bikes will not run well.

This is the tool for the adjustment of the mixture screw at the bottom of the carb, it available on the morgan carbtune website for 33 pounds. Mine is similar and made by motion pro from US.

Another cheaper alternative, Gunson colortune compare to the Gunson digital gas analyser for tuning the mixture screw available on morgan carbtune website. Never tried this dunno how effective it is.

For the picture of the Gunson digital gas analyser can visit the website http://www.gunson.co.uk
