Hmm....is it the problem where the inside of the exhaust rusts so badly? Hmm....i think I'm experiencing that too.... Haha....

Basically the whole exhaust will rust in time to come... Many of them are already in pretty bad shape..

Mine only rusted a little.. But had them changed nevertheless..

Hey boys, check out my new gas-charged, length adjustable suspension!! A1!! :thumb: :thumb:

Performs so much better then the stock pogo sticks! Both the compression and rebound is so much improved..

Its stiffer, and yet not harsh like the OEM. No longer squats under acceleration, especially exiting a corner!

Holds well tru a corner, no more horse-riding.. More traction.. And won't bounce (on bumpy roads) like the OEM does..

PS: I dun sell the shocks, neither do I earn any comission.. So dun :gun: me... Just my SGD$0.02..

Anyway.... I've got my side-stand!! Original from Piaggio...!! hehe.....

Well, actually, the bike shop whom i bought the bike from owe me one... so i just went to collect...haha.

Nevertheless....i found that the side stand always springs back to the original position... Like....I push the side stand down, it springs up.... doesn't stay down....

Go get the BITUBO ones!! :lovestruck: :lovestruck: PM bigcow, he might be able to give some leads!

It follows the italians' 'Safety Feature', so tha you wont ride off without retracting the side stand..

The rest use a slightly diff system, which is, engine cut-off when moving off with sidestand in place..

Pros and cons for both system:

Dangerous when parked on a slope for the former. Might accidentally retract yr sidestand if its not firmly planted.

For the latter, when the sidestand sensor or wire go wonky, there's no way you can ride yr bike..

Cheers!

However, I'm getting frustrated with it cos there are some recurring problems.

The fuel pipe keeps leaking somewhere where I can't locate. I can only see fuel splattering out from the bottom of the bike. Happened a few times liao, but everytime the Gilera people just said fuel pipe leak.

.

hey twisterx have u got the leak rectified by piaggio yet. my bike having the same problem.sending it in for repair sometime next month.

it leaks if i try to top up full tank.

Any idea how long [time] they will take to rectify it?

Mate, I know what happened. Yours is diff from twisterx's prob... His is fuel hose.

For yours, the overflow tube (that flows back to the tank when fully topped-up) connected to the tube where your insert the fuel pump nozzle is broke.

Common prob. Quite hard to replace by yourself. Best leave it to the piaggio centre..

Should be able to collect witin a day.

Cheers

Hey,

I too have the same problem, today is the last straw man, just found another leak in the fuel line just before the fuel filter. Better change it as I am scared it may catch fire one day.

Was thinking of doing it myself but the thought of draining the tank, buying the hoses, etc. I am just too lazy for that.

Might go down to Piaggio Service Center and do it there, as for now, emergency sealant with teflon tape...

Cheers...
