hmmmz~ here's the prob: im not into engineering!!!! i know nuts abt it! teach teact a bit lehz

Aiyoh.... you know nuts about engineering, u want to make a DC power supply. U kena short circuited, I will be held responsible leh...

Tell you oso dunno, bring u there far far!

I always wanted to say that!! :bounce:

  first of all, u'll need a electrical diagram with those electrical thingies on it, also called a schematic diagram. I have that diagram. Buy those components (solenoid, electrolytic capacitors, resistors etc) needed and also a chassis. Some drilling of the chassis is needed. Follow the schematic, solder here and there...VIOLA! You have a DC power supply.

If you really wanna make one, be really really careful, ok?

From a home-made DC power supply loh. If you are into engineering, you'll know what to do. :D buy the components from Sim Lim and DIY.

I forget i am a electronic student....shame shame :nono:

Do ownself? wah, seh....How to get the PCB(we call it puay ch*e B*e, lol) done without proper labs?

Later one short circuit or open circuit, troubleshoot until u blur :giddy: component spoil? :giddy:

Not necessarily need PCB (aiyoh, watch your language, my boy). You know what is a copper strip? Use that lah! Solder on the connecting joints and drill away the non-connecting ones.

Man, here I am teaching eletricals to bikers.... :pity:

Those components for power supply are pretty hardy, not like they are CMOS devices, which is ESD sensitive. Won't spoil so easily one lah... the most replace lah, cheap cheap. :D

Agree.... I need to que abt 30 min even on Tuesday! But over all I like the boss... a very friendly guy. His worksmanship also not bad. Then his servicing is quite cheap. I heard from my frd that the CDC instustor and TP let him service their personal bike too.

hey! i m very interested in this shop leh... do they sell bikes? second hand?? i hope to get a version s....and second hand bike confirm need some honest guys to do servicing first lor...can i have the contact number and address of the shop?? pls pls!!!

Hi Stan, thanks for speaking up.

I think it is very important to get good service, first u need to build up rapport with whoever (mechanic/boss).

I have been a regular customer w/ FT FastTrack since 1997 and send my bike to them for regular service. So far have been a very satisfied customer.

Recommended 2 friends to them and all are very satisfied with their worksmanship. Though their price is slightly on the high side.

hiya everyone kinda new here......would like to know any comments abt Mah Motor at Jln Besar? thx :shades:

Hi, speaking from my view as a regular customer of Mah Motor Parts at Jln Besar, i can honestly say their parts are all sold at a reasonable price! Jeffrey Mah is the boss, always wear white shirt walk around and Alice [his wife] always sit at the counter there one. If you want, you can also try bargaining the price with them, dun worry, they very frenly one! As for their mechanics, they got 3. Ah Fai, Ah Hock and Ah Peng. My personal mechanic cum fren is Ah Fai, his skills is highly recommended!

Star Rating: 4 outta 5! Cheers!

last time i bought my motor fr lee motor then halfway they transfer my hire purchase to mah motor (dunno y oso). mah motor quite reputable, think they oso co-host the motorbike show last year. quite a fair though.. but personally i feel tat their prices r abit more on the high end.. everything other thing abt them is quite gg lah..
