Ride safe guys and gals.

The NE Monsoon has just given us a prelude of what's to come this evening.

Carry your raincoats and drop your tyre pressures by 2 or 3 psi to increase the contact patch with the wet roads.

Check your tyre treads for sufficient tread depth. Badly worn tyres tend to aquaplane at high speeds.

Lube the drive chain more frequently... water tends to solidify the chain lube into grease and it gets flung off more easily exposing the chain links and sprockets to wear.

Don't want to wipe the bike nevermind but at least wipe the fescolised part of the front forks and rear shocks to keep dirt away from them or else there will be oil leaks from them in a short while. The dirt will cause scratches on the chrome and cut the fork seals... resulting in leaks.

Keep an eye on the wheel axles. If you see brownish fluids dripping out and splattering all over your rear sprockets.. the rear wheel bearings are gone, especially the left side.. the side the bike leans towards when on side stand.

yep, and also not to mention about being careful where you stop your bike at traffic lights! Avoid the white lines and arrows... they can be really dangerous man!

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Not as dangerous as some of the petrol stations that have tiled areas around the pumps.

Today while riding, got one KuKu Indian driver in a blue car, don't know how he passed his licence one, maybe he drunk.

There is a very very big yellow box for buses to come out of the bus bay right in front of the traffic light at Ang Mo Kio.

It was a red light, so I stopped behind the yellow box, as there was no space in at all for any vehicle to stop between the yellow box and the pedestrain crossing.

(This junction also happens to be one of the test routes in SSDC. Stop in the box during the test, and you can pretty much kiss your test goddbye... )

I saw from the mirror, the Kuku driver E-braked behind me and angrily gestured for me to go on into in yellow box, and gestured a "You stop for what?" horning as he did so.

Even after I pointed out the yellow box, he still tilt his head and give a "So? You think I care" look.

And wanted me to move into the yellow box. I shook my head and drew a box sign again.

Soon enough, a bus stopped besides us, and turned out into the yellow box.

So I pointed to the bus, and the yellow box to show my point.... :sian:

This type of driver, don't know the traffic rules, not only have no intention of obeying the law, he also expect people Not To Obey the traffic rules to accomodate for his mistakes, and was very rude when he was at it.

Farther more, he nearly ram into me from behind. Really spoilt my day...

Along KJE on the way back from the Tuas track this afternoon... a car weaved into my lane and then swerved back into its own lane causing me to hit the brakes and take evasive actions.

Accelerated and as I overtook the car...saw that the driver was yakking on the handphone and he gave me the 'what's your problem look".

Where the F are all the TPs and LTAs when you need them???

ytd while riding ard 11+pm had to purposely turn my back behind n handsignal 3 drivers who forgot to turn on their headlights along ecp towards aye..

-.-""

2 lady, one Auntie, n one indian uncle.. =.="

b4 tat @ potong pasir got one accident involving taxi n getz..

quite jialat. taxi front n getz side.. i tink the taxi beat red light n get turning right on green arrow.. hmzz..

today i driving lorry, ard 9pm along telok blangah towards vivo. this taxi uncle tried to turn out from busstop less than 10m when i m passing him.. yes he did signal, but seeing me driving at 60+ along the stretch on lane 3, he still dun care wan to cut out b4 waiting for me to pass him. in the end horned him ,check blind spot for incoming cars on lane 2 n swerved a lil out. =.=""

not juz tat, taxi drivers are always hoggin left lane at -20, 30 the recommended speed along small roads to check for passengers.

along ecp juz now, one mercedes... mercedes e200 is doing 50 on a 90 rd.. n he is an old uncle. -.-""

wtf.. nowadays they either nv signal b4 turning, or forget to turn on headlights..

n i cant understand uncles who tend to road hog lane 1 or 2 when the cars r always overtaking. =/ they are in their 70s n still driving., obviously their eyesight n reactions has failed them quite badly n not able to keep up with the lanes.. i tink they r trying to be safe.. but being safe is not being SLOW! =/

juz like the article abt the lady driver who complained about doing 90 on the lane 1.. wtf.. lane 1 cars normally doing 100 - 120 at least..

Suck it n ride!

i think alot pp dont bother signaling at all . . although i still do, hoping far back cars to slow down or grip some attention. hee but its really funny to see how some cars accelerate to close the gap when i on signal and wanna go in their lane, so i just wait for them to pass after me

i think recently alot of bus when coming out of bus stop, dont like to give way, or didnt see me at a. the other day one just turn come out when i was heading straight and already somewhere near the emergency door exit. lucky already spotted the bus earlier, prepare to slow see stun liao, if not think i might smash or swerve to outer lane
