feels more like a battlefield than a jungle...lol

even when i drive it doesn't feel this bad, although i get stuck longer in the jam..

i couldn't lane split cos most of the vehicles of the road were big, wide SUVs, MPVs haha, and i wasn't confident i could do it smoothly...

today while riding

self skidded in the morning coz road wet and i braked hard when i saw amber. Was some distance away, not last minute jam brake type. looking back, i should not have went so fast (60-70 only leh?!?!?!) and should haf just beat the amber light instead.

Heng front car did not jam brake onamber but instead beat it - Hence i did not slam into his rear.

Heng rear no car else i pancake.

My elbow impact first onto tarmac, den dragged 1m plus.

HENG i wore mesh jacket. even dou mesh jacket no hole my elbow still got hole!?!?!? but i consider it heng coz i cannot imagine drag 1m on elbow how big the hole man... ... ...

i always tot my bike is light, until my leg was pinned under it! KN, had to really pull out my leg.

Heng got 1 nice pakcik rider come forth help me lift bike and asked me to push to side, coz i was in a daze... ... ...

went up to nearby construction site ask for adjustable spannar to adjust my mirror, parked at nearby school den took cab go polyclinic. Now @ home resting, mugging for exam...

got 2 gals (17-18 yo) from nearby school came over and asked me "Are u alright?!" i said "yah, im ok" but deep down, !&%$!&$(& pain like fug! :lol:

when they saw my bleeding elbow: "u need some tissue?"

AW! so sweet, of course i took up the offer!

After that, i rode back home to woodlands, wanna change my rims and tires for safety reason - rims like koyak ald, can feel bumpety bumpety bumpy coz a bit sehgek ald... :xian: tires coz my current ones not much grip,, wanna change to battlax!

so went to frenly neighbourhood orh diam they tell me 160 for racing boy rims, 190 for battlax!?!?

i called chris and got ah boy no, he quote me 90 for racing boy rims, 190 for tires + workmanship. so i go down althe way to LAB.

when i reach there, no more 8 spoke black sports rims, so he ask me to change to 6 curly spoke blackrims "lor". i immediately hesitate coz dung noe why, just felt weird. After almost going for it, 2 lady riders asked me how much i was quted , i say 280. they gave me the "WOW! CARROT HEAD!" look and told me msia ah boy SGD140+ get it done liao. so i din do in the end, coz $ hard to earn ah!!!

anyone noe how to get to msia ah boy/ ah gua lane etc? can bring young jack along with my cub? heeheez

my jacket and jeans no hole!?!? means my skin left on my jacket and jeans?!?!?! hmmmmmz..

Its possible to suffer from abrasions even though the clothing doesn't tear. What happened was the sharper parts of the tarmac pressed down onto your clothing, and your clothing tore into your skin. Without the mesh jacket and jeans, it'll just make a bigger hole in your skin, thats all. With the protective gears, u get a smaller abrasion, or none at all if you're lucky. Your jacket no armour at the elbows?

Take care man, wet roads advisable to go slower and not do last minute maneuvers whenever possible. You're lucky that you wore a jacket if not, more damage to yourself. Speedy recovery dude!

haha battlefield....when u r stuck in car, it's ok cos you get music, air con and get to rest while waiting....when u stuck on bike, you are frustrated and hv to anticipate which joker is gonna pull a stun on you....and ya most vehicles these days are so huge and some are as big as vans and they can block e entire view.

jack: great that u r ok. do take care...i learnt my lesson as well. skidded on another bike b4. perhaps i was a lil too fast on a wet road and that i think i could hv braked when my front wheel was just on top of a man hole cover.

lucky no car behind and bike was too heavy and one taxi uncle helped me. bike dropped quite gently so there was only a slight scratches on my bike.

so now, am more cautious and avoid slippery surface including arrows and dotted lines.

not only mesh jackets, even when you are in full suit you can still get abrasions and bruises though there isn't any obvious torn holes on your attire and i believe it's due to excessive rubbing between the material and your skin. bruises would be from the impact of course..

just my 2 cents worth....

Today while riding:

Me clock another 100km running around singapore.... Went to scrapyard today!! :D:D SO fun!! I was like a little kid in a huge Toys R us... see all the bike spares.. see all the old stuff from 20/30 years ago... whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... saliva all drop.... SO MUCH COOL STUFF!!! And the price!! SO CHEEEP CHEEEEP GOOD GOOD!! walked away with a GIVI rack for knockdown rate....

Then along boundary road... me riding 2nd lane got poor SBS bus trapped in third lane cos heavy traffic, so i slow down and stop let him come out.. kana horn rapid fire by this Lexus purple [sF*2222*]. Whoa.... me handsign all come out gesticulating widly then chase him all the way to serangoon garden way lap exhaust behind his car.

No doubt my action not good and not correct... but me as a biker take so much abuse.. time to return some in kind. And no im not proud of what i done... but it sure felt goood

Its possible to suffer from abrasions even though the clothing doesn't tear. What happened was the sharper parts of the tarmac pressed down onto your clothing, and your clothing tore into your skin. Without the mesh jacket and jeans, it'll just make a bigger hole in your skin, thats all. With the protective gears, u get a smaller abrasion, or none at all if you're lucky. Your jacket no armour at the elbows?

got armour for elbow, but when i fall, just nice the armour nv cover. or even if it did still got abrasion.

but ya, got armour better than none, small hole better than BIG HOLE!

msia is cheaper but u must consider the risk n trouble going AGL, then if workmanship any problem must go back jb again.

at least if do in sg, anything happen still easy to go back bike shop, then AGL dun have battlax tires lor, of cos SG ex a bit lor, unless u dun wan battlax tires lor

Whoa saw this cute girl wearing t shirt and short shorts... and she was fidgeting with the shorts constantly pulling it down and she's quite tall..... :lovestruck:

of cos theirs is tt900 thailand, but tt900gp also not tat gd, better than tt900 thai but battlax is way better than these 2.

unless u bring the tires to AGL n change lor, but just to save this bit, risk n trouble matters come in. u decide bah.

but provided AGL also got the rims u wan, if they no stock also LL

This evening while riding... or rather after i reach my destination, me was at my favourite "kopitiam" kopitiam at hg st 21.

Whoa saw this cute girl wearing t shirt and short shorts... and she was fidgeting with the shorts constantly pulling it down and she's quite tall..... :lovestruck:

at least you are ok. be thankful that your abrasions is due to your inner jacket and not the tarmac. if abrasions against tarmac, that's even deeper my boy!

about your bike, it may not be the rim if when you ride, you feels something wrong. it may just be your tyre coming out of alignment. if you would consider this option, why not change your tyres to battlax in singapore. for a kupchai, i'm sure both should cost less than mine. $190 for tyres + workmanship is ok i guess. after changing tyres, if you still feel something is wrong, then you can head to ah gua lane to change your rim.

most importantly, it's time to chuck your jacket and get a new one. welcome to the biker's world! accidents are part and parcel of life. just be thankful that you're not dead.

Cheaper alternative... dig out your SSDC/CDC/BBDC knee and elbow guards... look silly but safe!!
