Some IO r just plain lazy... last time I reported a case on bike vandalism, then the IO kept telling me that if I have no proof it is "vandalism" than cannot anyhow report, or else they can charge me for making false report... then I bobian lor... report it as "for record purpose only"...

today while riding near ubi area,

 

dropped my bike in the middle of the road while u-turning

struggled to lift it but couldnt, but suddenly, i felt the bike magically lift up.....from behind me, a pair of strong arms had come to my rescue..

..just wanna thank the uncle who helped me lift it, without u i think ill still be stuck there struggling..thanks so much!!

lolx.. be careful while riding.. it's not safe.. road is never safe... unless you park your bike and is inside a flat.. den you are safe from vehicles..

hi guys. got into a sticky situation, need some advise.

 

last mth, while on the way back from 2nd link, i encountered a reckless driver along AYE which nearly caused several accidents with both cars and bikes. i took the license plate number and emailed the TP.

 

today, i received a call from the IO who is looking into the case. he was asking if i want to come forward as witness. but he did warn me, should the driver challenge the case, and was found guilty of speeding and reckless driving, i might be implicated cos i chased him to get his license plate number and i also followed him at a distance (which i indicated in the email).

 

there might be a chance i would get a speeding ticket and demerit points.

 

anyone got into such sticky situation before? pls advise

SparkerS1 : yup...and you'd be surprised how quickly new drivers get sucked into the same mentality as well.

 

coincidentally, a cyclist knocked onto my hubby's car cos he was squeezing...lucky he didn't fall but he scratched the car slightly.

 

on the other side of the car were other scratches caused by inconsiderate ppl who slammed their door agst the car....such wonderful ppl we have in sg.

probably when u go near ubi it made u think of the times when u learned how to ride n got the butterfly stomach feelinng? i used to have dat..

Went for a night ride on the expressways earlier this evening just before 9pm, when I thought traffic was lighter. I was wrong. 3rd lane still have kup kia and lorries road hogging. If there're cars road hogging, it's going to be a big family inside. Nothing changes

Seem like the IO hint u not to stir up the issue,if not u may get yourself into trouble with the law as a witness.

 

just checked through the initial mail i sent. i didnt mention anything about speeding. just dangerous driving.

 

how come the IO kept emphasizing on the word speeding? and demerit points?

 

this is starting to smell fishy leh.

 

Possible to insist on the driver w/o implicating urself? Since u din mention u were speeding?

Know first hand what is piston seize in 2 stroke bike.... lucky not me..

 

RxZ with pillon whack whack whack 120km/h and suddenly.... RATATATTATATATATAATATATATTATAT......... and bike died.

 

And there is a strong stench of burning metal..... tried to kickstart.... it started briefly with a horrible knocking noise and died....

Today tried squeezing to the front at a red light with my big handlebars, clutch lever knock on a lady's side mirror, K.N.S.... .... normally can go through one, but now new handlebars dam wide, luckily I already ready to stop, and the lever absorbed much of the impact, so no damages on both sides. The lady was part of a wedding convey, so in a good mood, even siam a bit to let me pass.

 

And the blind spot now changed, much bigger, at a U-turn junction I siam a bit, to the dotted line, in case got car come out, but got lorry in the next lane, so I came back to the center, the car behind assume I changing lane when he saw me siaming, chiong forward, and I didn't see him coming from behind, kena horned.

No lah, it's I go near a junction where opposite traffic can U-turn into my lane, so I siam, because I saw there got many cars queuing up to U-turn from the opposite road, so I scared mah.

 

But when I siam to the dotted line, the car behind chiong thinking I changing lane, when I switch back he kena stunned, horn me lor... A bit my fault lah.

Mirrors will be a slight problem that you'll get used to eventually. For u-turns, have to make the turn in a single move and accelerate out. You can do it

Added a hazard light! now at least will be a lil bit more visible especially in heavy rain (if i llst muz cont to ride) and when lanesplitting in heavy traffic (Will still stick to +/- 20km/hr!)
