My guess that its 50/50 is the driver will flip the story around. They always do that and accuse that we were speeding and etc. Its good to have a witness in these situations so when the driver flip the story it is evident.

Had a minor accident along AYE just before Jurong Town Hall exit last night around 11:30pm. Was travelling on 2nd lane at about 70-90km/hr then suddenly saw a very big stone or brick in the middle of the lane.

Hit it & my bike jumped up, front rim dent in, rear wheel locked (should be because rear brake jammed). My GF's feet brushed against the road & the shoe fly off & she suffered abrasions on the toes as a result

 

Luckily I managed to control the bike properly & moved safely to the road shoulder. Many drivers slowed down to kaypo abit & drove off.

 

Anyway, I just want to thank this Malay uncle who just knocked off, seemed so tired but still stopped at the road shoulder & help me! He stayed with us for at least 15 mins till my fren arrived at the scene.

My GF was so lost & scared, I had to console her then I forgot to take down the uncle number plate or phone number, really must thank him for his help!!

i exp before also while riding my super four last time. while moving off from the traffic light 3 boxes of oranges fell in front of me while the lorry moved off. cant imagine if i am travelling at a higher speed... will be so paisei... fren will ask how u accident... i hit some orange on the road..... zzzzzz

Speedy recovery to your pillion. The last time I got into a minor accident I sat by the side and drivers did the same too but one did ask how I was and if I needed help. What could be going on in the cars that just slow down to kaypo might be the telling the passengers that riding is dangerous. Is it just me or did our roads condition suddenly gotten from bad to worse?

I saw this video on youtube the other day. Some guy crashed and his bike got stuck under the guard rail. All the cars drive past, just stop to look and drove off. The guy had to pick up all his stuff from the road, his top box etc, and try to drag his bike out from under the guard rail HIMSELF. :S

I ever run over a big stone on a road at kl Malaysia. It was night and by the time I was that stone I know its too late

 

Ran over it and it cause both my rims to be a lil bit dented on its side. Luckily I manage to take control of the bike. So did not fall off and no major damage done.

 

I wonder would I "buang" if it has been a smaller bike instead?

Seems like we have a new enemy in the road. Only last week i was riding along Bartley wen one big styrofoam board flew off d back of a truck, hit one rider in d face and the broken piece hit me (luckily i got windscreen). Both of us unhurt but obviously shaken. Wat a way to wake us up on a morning!

Just wish to share. When it happened, i was quite angry at the driver. But after reviewing the video, I felt that I could ve done more to avoid the situation. I need to reflect more on my riding... =X

 

Thankfully no accident happened.

 

To conclude, I think that the driver also has fault where as I also ve fault due to the fact that I didn't not take extra precaution since the car was already a bit in my lane. But reflecting about it again, y is it tat now our roads, I have to bear so much responsibility to watch out for other road user's behaviour? I will still continue to pay extra attention as per wat i ve been doing for the sake of my own safety, but y did our roads come to become like this?

Sadly its because our society is no longer as gracious anymore. Its a dog eat dog society. Its either kill or get killed. Every man for himself.

At least he put up his arm, some drivers just look ahead as if they have done no wrong. Mofo didn't signal anyway.

Lorries has always been an enemy, esp foreign drivers who overload and then never secure properly.

Agreed. Also if anyone ever noticed that drivers of lorries have the habit of changing lanes abruptly or just do not bother when a bike is on the lane it wants to change. They have this mentality that they are bigger and they know we have to give in whether we want to or not.
